|  First time yorkie owner.. :) Hi!  I'm a new YT member.. and I'm also going to be a new yorkie owner in 2 months! I'm excited! I was just wondering if you can give me any tips as to what I need to prepare before I get her- Munchkin. I'm getting her from a reputable breeder here in the PHilippines. |

| Welcome! I too am playing the waiting game. It sure is fun preparing! Here is a link to another thread with shopping lists. Other than that, I suggest you buy several books on Yorkies, puppy training, etc. and read them before baby arrives. You will also want to take time to puppy proof your house if the little one is to have free run. Also find a good vet. Enjoy! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=list

| Welcome to YT!! Congrats on your upcoming baby. I would recommend reading as many threads on subjects like food, potty training, crate training and anything else you can think of. If that doesn't prepare you well, I don't think anything will!!!! This site has a wealth of information!!

| Welcome! We are hoping to become Yorkie owners as well. By the way, one of my friends is studying abroad (foreign student exchange) in the Philippines, but I am not sure where about exactly. |

| Thanks all! Yes, I really can't wait to get my munchkin! I'll post some pictures as soon as I get her! It's exciting and agonizing (since it's still 2 mos!) to prepare for her arrival! But looks like with the help of YT, I'll be a prepared first time mommy. |

| I suggest you stash some cash. The urge to buy cute stuff for the new baby is going to overwhelm you...might as well be prepared.
