I think it should be ok as long as your not pulling at the hair real hard, just lightly brushing will not hurt, I do the same thing when she is sleeping on my lap in the evenings. Now if your trying to get a matt out, definitely wet it first with a conditioning spray.

I use the Cowboy Magic detangler and shine. You only need a tiny bit to put on, it comes in a tube or bottle and a little will last you a long time. I love the stuff and will always keep it on hand. It instantly detangles their hair, it leaves the hair really shiny and soft. I was amazed at the difference it made. It also helps if you have a dog with static electricity, Trixie had hair like that and by using the CM it took it away. It just works really great and if you have a dog that is matted just put some CM on it and the matt will come right out, just like magic, and you won't have to cut it out or have a hard time getting it out. Oh and it smells good too.

I may just have to try this stuff! sounds really good. do you get it at the big pet store chains, like petsmart or petco?

I got mine at Petsmart, the one with equine supplies. You have to go to a store that has equine supplies or a feed store.

i use miracal coat shampoo and leave in condetioner on Bo and i just now started useing optimum oil therapy with coconut oil olive oil avacado oil and jojaba oil in.....it is for humans but it is unreal the way it leaves his hair....it use to be wavey and not shiney at all not it is straight as a stick and shiney as can be....it is like lotion kinda and i just put a small amount on my hands and rub it into the roots of his hair after his bath and comb it through and it leaves him greesy looking the first night but when i brush him the next day it is really shney and pretty and not greesy at all....has anyone else ever used this....and another thing i wanted to ask is how much is the cowboy magic i would love to try that but i have never seen it....i have also started using flaxseed oil on bo's food for his coat and health is this a good thing to use

I ordered the cowboy magic shampoo/conditioner/detangler & shine on Amazon.com. I got two big bottles of shampoo & conditioner and the detangler for $50 with shipping. My Petey is a cotton coat and my mom's dogs are silk and it worked great on all of them.

decisions decisions.... cowboy magic or CC? now i'm confused and don't know what to get. i was leaning toward CC but now i'm thinking Cowboy magic. *sigh* LOL

i just ordered some cowboy magic rosewater silk conditioning shampoo and the detangler & shine from petsmart for under 20 $$$ it was on sale!!! i can't wait to try it. i've been using jasmine (yummy!) puppy shampoo but then i noticed it was from hartz-i've heard some bad stuff about their products though. so i quit using it even though it smelled good. i also ordered a 20 mm cc gold brush-it was expensive but my husband said get the best for his baby!!! and then i ordered some ice on ice from impreciouspup. I've spent more on my 's hair in one day than i have myself at the salon all year!!! Not to mention i took a little sidetrip to tinkerbell's closet and ordered some dresses and halters. My husband is a man's man but he told me she could only wear pink and since he is in the nat. guard i ordered it all in pink camo. i'll be looking for the ups lady every day now!!! now my other little puppsy's are going to be jealous, i guess i need to order them some little clothes too.
