| Parents Coats...Can U Help Me? I post this on the grooming section and someone thought it was for our puppies but I would like to know what their parents are: Theodore and Tiffanie so here it goes again now maybe some of U can help me...I'm sorry if I confused everyone! I would like to know what coat U all think they have so I know how to care for them right..Okay, I've posted photo of all my babies on dogster.com and I would like U all go look @ all my dolls! I'm so very proud of every single one of them! But my question is...Does Teddy have a wirey or curly coat? And doesn't Tiffanie have a Silky coat? Or have I got them messed up? I think if Teddy's coat was to grow long to the floor it would be wavy and I think if Tiffanie's grew to the floor it would be straight. It does take Tiffanie's coat longer to grow then Teddy's...His is grown back out in about a month...I just trimmed him last month and I haven't trimmed Tiffanies since April...(Did her ears & bottom & feet). Which Coat would be for the AKC Shows??? Silky, Wirey or Curly when all growed out? Can U tell me what U all think? Oh & go look @ the babies too there! They are so sweet and cute...If U have time go read the notes I've added for them each! I love them all! It will be hard to see them leave if I ever do sell them! LOL! I haven't even tried to yet and they will be 11 weeks Thur. Isn't that bad??? | Sorry, I can't help you with their coats but they are really cute. I like the picture with the puppies around the sprinkler. Looks like so much fun.

| It's hard to tell on Tiffany since she is still a baby (and a SUPER cute baby at that!). With Teddy, I just can't tell from those photos... Sorry... Usually yorkies with cottony hair has very thick hair and it actually looks like cotton. If you take a cotton ball or q-tip and pull the strands of the cotton fiber out, that what the hair looks like. Because it's wavy it gets the cotton feel and it tangles really easy. Silky on the other hand is just that, very fine like a thread of silk. Most silky coated yorkies has hair that naturally lays flat. Like a young child with very fine straight hair. Hope this helps.

| Thank U so very much, I would just like to know so I know what kind of shamppo and conditioner to buy. I did read on the grooming section about what ones everyone likes for different coats...I think with reading through here and on the threads that Teddys is cotton/Wirey??? Not sure which one yet but I know it's one of them and Tiffy I know is Silky...Her's is straight as a board and it weighs down & looks real greasy if I use to much conditioner on it. Teddys on the other hand looks so dry...So I'm trying to get it shaped up. I keep Teddys short and I'm trying to let Tiffanies grow out. Thanks so very much for U're thoughts. I'm going to be buying some new shampoos and conditioners for them. Thanks so much! I'm glad U like the pups pages...It took me a while to get them made up. Hugs, Lee |
