| Good and Bad people food-- After my last post about sneaking Keeley some of my food sometimes, it got me thinking, what foods are okay and what foods are not okay to give to your yorkie as a treat/snack now and then? I have only really given him; peanut butter, chicken, small peices of cheese, and the occasional pretzel or cereal peice. |

| Chicken is better than beef. Cherios are okay. Cheese in moderation is okay. Vegetables are good for them

| Chicken, cereal and rice are fine, but should not be their total diet. Peanut butter is too high in fat. I don't like giving cheese or peanut butter because of the risk of pancreatitis. |

| Wow, that's quite a list. I didn't know that garlic is bad...don't some people feed their dogs garlic to prevent fleas? Ziggy loves honey nut cheerios. One of the ingredients is almonds...is that okay? I read that Macadamia nuts, walnuts, etc. are bad for dogs.

| My husband shared him ham with Lexi two mornings in a row and she got so sick. The pediatrician (a.k.a. veterinarian) said that if she had a reaction to ham that she would most likely have a reaction to turkey. So, we were told to never give her either. We also give ours Cheerios and they do fine with them. |
