| The most joyful experience Haruka and I had last weekend Haruka is such a well-behaved dog.. WEll.. let me just brag about her So last week, Haruka and I went to so many different places. We went to a town called "Newburyport" for one day, very friendly area for dogs. Then of course, as I said on the other thread, a couple hundred people came to talk to us .... Everyone was nice and Haruka met many nice people. There are a couple people we met.. I was really touched and I bet Haruka too. There were a couple elders on wheelchairs. Then caretakers say "oh look.. very cute dogs" So I decided to stop and waited until those people can turn around to see Haruka. When I saw their face, their face was like "mad women and a man" but then they started having this big smile on their face. It was just so nice. So I did something I usually don't do. I lifted Haruka and put her on each of them's laps. Of course my hands were right there.. just in case. Oh I don't know how I can explain.. about their smile with full of joy. Haruka just sat still and let them pad her. Before I was ready to go, one care taker said, "Thank you.. very much... you made their day ... thank you.." Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it was very nice feelings. Interesting is.. I had one more person with a little boy said that we made their day... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.. Haruka is making everyone smile and smile and smile. This is definitely a wonderful feeling.

| That was so sweet of you to do. We often don't realize that to make someone's day better we just have to slow down and take a little time with them. Sometimes it's so simple to do. A kind word and a smile can do so much to brighten someone's day.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Yeah, yeah, yeah, great story. ... But how about OUR smiles here on YT? How about MORE PICTURES! I'm kidding, Michiko! Making people smile is definitely one of the fringe benefits of having a Yorkie.

| Michiko- It is nice to see you posting. I've missed you these last several days!!! Haruka is beautiful as always. I love her Japanese outfit. I'm so glad that you and Haruka are experiencing special times together and helping bring smiles to others also. Last weekend when I was traveling with Sissy, we stopped at a rest area so she could potty. There was a little girl who came over to see and pet her. Well, I need to go to the bathroom and there are signs all over the building that say "NO PETS" and I didn't want to leave her in the car - so I asked the little girl (and her mother) if they would be there for just another minute and if she wanted to hold Sissy while I went to the bathroom. The little girl was so beside herself. When I came out (probably 30 seconds later) the mom told me I had just made the little girl's day.
