Actually, you know what? That sounds like a great idea (if you're dying for this little girl)!!! Tell her you'll pay $2300, and if the pup goes over the desired weight that she's "guesstimating," she has to return $500!!! If she says yes (and it's in written form), then she's confindent in her product. If not, move on. How's that sound? :D

You know I would NEVER judge you, Chachi or be sarcastic...but my aunt's Yorkie is 5lbs and we're trying to fatten her up! We think she's skin and bones. :eek: I think 6 lbs is tiny. :D

Oh she is tiny and I love her just how she is but I paid $1200 for her when her standard females go for $900. I am just saying be careful because you take a real risk when you pay more for one thats supposed to be a tiny

You're right. People usually pay more, and sometimes don't get what they paid for. Now THAT is wrong! :thumbdown

I haven't heard back from the breeder... maybe my email was too harsh - i wasn't trying to be mean... but I guess my disappointment spilled through just the same. Oh well, if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.

If this little girl is as adorable as Oscar than I would not give up to quickly on this Breeder. Oscar is one of my favorites here at YT. He has it all going on!

I too have always had tinies and make no apologies for my preference. What has always captivated me, even before I knew Yorkies existed, was the thought of a dog that stayed a puppy forever. What a dream come true, I still marvel.

they have BEAUTIFUL tiny yorkies here in tupelo for around $400.. i'd be happy to get you pics tomorrow morn if you'd like.

The puppy I purchased 3 weeks ago was 1lb 10oz at 13 weeks. I hope it stays under 4 pounds. If not I will be picking up my 250.00. My first yorkie (baby) the 2 yr old was 1lb 5 oz at 12 weeks. She will be 3 in August. She is 3.5 lbs now. She is small but sturdy.

Mikey-
Are you familiar with these breeders? I eventually want another pup and I would like it to be around the same size as Sissy (4 lbs). I would be willing to fly somewhere to pick it up - I've never been to Mississippi........

Ok, the breeder replied to me today. She cannot budge on the price (which i really didn't expect that she would). She went on to tell me that the 'tiny' ones are not the runts - a runt will eventually catch up in weight and result in a standard size dog. A tiny will stay tiny. Never heard this rationale before... but ok.

So I'm still so in love with this little girl - and I'm seriously considering paying the price for her. I've attached her picture.. isn't she just a doll?

I think I may contact a few more breeders before I finally decide. I don't think she's had many people interested in her yet (due to the price I imagine - she's one of a litter of 5 girls and the other 4 - standard size - are all gone - GEEEE, I WONDER WHY SHE'S THE ONLY ONE LEFT??)

So what do you guys think?

Mikey, the price of those puppies sounds fantastic, but I would be concerned about where they were coming from and not knowing. I would also worry about shipping a puppy.
