Toby loves the game fetch, he SHAKES in anticipation when i am about to throw his toys.... He is like a spring waiting to be released, and oh so fast!... when he brings the toy back, he doesnt just drop it in my lap like a polite dog would, he THROWS it at me

i cant help but think "what a pushy little butthead!"...... do any of your yorkies throw the toy back to you?

Are you kidding Sydnee is going through the terrible twos at 4 months.
Its all MINE MINE!!!!!! Give it back no way, she hides everything you give her.
Puts her brush under pillows and stuff, her clothes anything that she thinks is hers. She couldn't get in her bed if she tried she has so much buried under her blanket.

What a great trick! Oh how I wish Rusty would throw the toy back to me or at least drop it so I could throw it again, LOL. He used to bring it and lay it on my foot, but now he wants to tug-o-war over it.

I feel like a bad mommy. NOT one of mine do anything but play with each other..The chocolate boys seem to know they are the same color and play all the time. The Biewers can be uppity and dare any of the others to come near them. They actually take up positions on the couch and refuse to let the others up. You should hear the whining. (That is from me!) ...Oh well, gotta get going and do SOMEthing today. Of course, that might be just take a nap. I am going to lunch with my daughter and grand daughter to celebrate a birthday. The weather is so different from today and I don't want to leave the house.....

Asia will bring the ball back, but she won't drop it I have to take it from her. When I go to throw it I ask her if she is "ready" and she sits down and waits for me to throw it. I think I should change her sit comand to "ready".

She-ra doesn't play with many toys, but she loves to pounce on dog food she drops in the floor. Paws at it, roll on it, growls at it, stalks it, craziest thing I've ever seen!

oh yea!! Mason does exactly the same thing!!!
As soon as I get home and am ready to relax on the couch, here comes Mason running with his ball. He's ready to play fetch....
The only difference from Toby is that Mason does not let go of the toy! He'll run and get the toy, bring it back, but fight with me when I try to grab the toy to throw again. When I ignore him, he'll drop it by my feet or drop it on my lap....but as soon as he sees me reaching for it.....he'll jump on it and now he wants to play tug-o-war with the toy....

who knows what he wants....whatever keeps him occupied, i guess

I am the moderator for the training section on another forum and a member there has been trying for several weeks not to get her yorkie to put the ball in her hand after she retrieves it! Wait until I tell her that yours throws it to you? She will have a fit!lol

She-ra...mine does that too. he plays w/ each piece of food....definitely paws at it...pounces on it... its hilarious! and, like most of u...Porter does NOT give the toy back. he'll fetch it....bring it close to me, and just as i reach to take it away from him he moves away so I cant get it. lol. if i ignore him he'll come closer and trick me again by moving just as i reach to get the toy! its funny! my little stud muffin.

That is so funny and cute Orinskye!! I can just picture Toby doing this, LOL!!

Schatzie pretty much likes to hoard her toys....She will fetch them but she usually grabs the toy and keeps on a runnin!!!

Yes my Laci Jane does that too,,,,If your lying on the sofa she'll actually throw her toy on the sofa. Its way to funny! Who could refuse to play with her then!
