oh yea!! Mason does exactly the same thing!!!
As soon as I get home and am ready to relax on the couch, here comes Mason running with his ball. He's ready to play fetch....
The only difference from Toby is that Mason does not let go of the toy! He'll run and get the toy, bring it back, but fight with me when I try to grab the toy to throw again. When I ignore him, he'll drop it by my feet or drop it on my lap....but as soon as he sees me reaching for it.....he'll jump on it and now he wants to play tug-o-war with the toy....
who knows what he wants....whatever keeps him occupied, i guess
