| Is my girly high maintenance (HM)? She got her second set of shots today (about 9 weeks old) and if I pet her anywhere near the shot site she'll let out a yelp. She was fine during the shot, distracted with a little treat. She's been a little out of it all day since, sleeping a bit more than usual. She is eating and drinking fine. Is this normal, is she HM, could something be wrong? Thanks! |

| She'll be fine....she's just a little sore from the needle. At this young, any little prick seems like huge deal. Just like humans, as they get older and bigger and stronger, the pain threashold (sp?) is higher.

| Girl Let me tell you.... when Tigger got his first shot with us (around nine weeks) he wouldn't move for the life of him. He just slept the rest of the day and if you did move him He'd scream. I think at that age they're very tender and haven't much meat on them so it's bound to be more sore. She's normal and will be just fine.

| Kizzy would usually sleep more the day she got a shot but never acted sore. but she would get a little warm and her nose would get dry and I would give her just a pinch of a baby aspirin like the vet told me and she would be fine. So sounds pretty normal to me.

| When I took Lola to get her 12 week shots she did cry when her temp was taken <I would too though, doesnt seem terribly comfortable > and when they gave her shots, she cried & tried to squirm away, but the vet said the injection was cold, I guess they keep it refridgerated....so it may have just scared her, the coldness of the fluid....She was very tired for about 2 days though. |

| When Kali got her second set of shots she was a drama queen. She let out a horrible yelp. And then wanted her mommy for lovings. But once we got home she acted completely normal. They said she would sleep alot but she didn't. |
