They found the second puncture hole and were able to open it up so the area could be cleaned out. No feces entered her stomach that was good news. He said that if the infection had remained in there when her antibiotic ran out she would have gone septic. I am so glad that I pushed my vet here. Thanks for all of the support, we couldn't have done it without all of you.

I was thinking of Annabelle all day. Im so happy the vets were able to help and that she is going to be OK. I will have her on my prayers for her surgery on Thu to be a sucess. Thank you for keeping us posted. Give a lot of kisses and hugs from Gucci and me.

That's WONDERFUL NEWS !! I've been following Annabells progress and this so great to hear ! It's amazing how it hits home when something like this happens and we all feel your pain...Way to go ! Whew - I bet you must feel like the world is lifted from your shoulders.

I'm *so * relieved to hear the news! My father passed away 2 weeks ago due to becoming septic after a perforated bowel. I feared for the worst for Annabelle, but prayed for the best. Thanks for sharing the wonderful news.

This is a miracle! I am so glad that Annabelle is going to live. Wow, I just don't know what to say because I am so happy for all of you.

Let us know how she is progressing. Kudos to you for being aggressive with the vet.

This morning I was taking Annabelle out potty, it is our morning routine. I let her walk up around my tuck to the back hill and she does her business. Today there was a stray on the other side of my truck that i did not see until it attacked Belle. It picked her up in the air and started to shack her. The other dog must have punctured her in the hind leg area. We could find no signs of one though. We were sent home with antibiotic and antiflamatory medicine. Since then the swelling has spread down through her perineal area and it looks as though a puppy is crowning. Her milk is drying up fast. Yes her puppies are 10 days old now. I have started bottle feeding them , but would love to learn the tubing technique. The vet says to leave her with the pups and maybe they will be able to keep her milk coming in by stimulation. I feel so lost and mad The owner of the other dog is out of town until this weekend. I am worried that hte pups are not getting what they need. I am feeding them their puppy food. They seem to be eating okay.IF anyone might have some advice or prayers would be welcome

I have been watching for updates everytime I log on. I'm so glad to hear she'll be ok. I was so heartbroken the other day. I hope she has a speedy recovery!

I've been reading the updates on this thread every day and worrying about Annabelle right along with everybody else. I could hardly wait to log on this morning to see how her surgery went yesterday. I'm so glad she will be okay. You've done a wonderful job caring for her. Please keep us posted on her progess and we'll keep you in our prayers.

i just found this thread today and as i am reading through i can't stop crying. i just think what if that was my baby. i kept waiting to read the worst and was happy to read she is going to be okay. thias has had to be the scariest week of your life. you and your babies are in my thoughts.

I also just found this and I am in tears. I am sooo happy she is going to be okay. I will keep them all in my prayers . This is so touching i couldn't move till I got to the end witha sigh of relef. Tommy gives puppy hugs and kisses your way.

Wow...what a happy day!! I am so so glad and relieved that Annabelle will be just fine...it is amazing how attached we get to our fur babies and even though we only know her through YT everybody was deeply worried...and THANK GOD she is doing better!!

I have been out of town all day & just got home. It was hard not to find a puter somewhere. I am so glad to read Annebelle is doing better. You have all been on my mind so much that it amazes me. There is most definately a connection in Yorkieville that most dog owners don't share.
