| Does your Yorkie like the ocean??? I'm going home to pick Lucy up on my lunch break b/c right after work we're heading on our way to the beach. (Tank is Staying w/ my sister in-law) It's going to be her first beach trip and I was wondering who else took their pup to the beach with them. If so did they like the ocean? About 4 years ago, me, my dad and my x-boyfriend went to the beach together. My dad brought his 4lb. Pom and he loved the beach. It was his first trip and when we let him off the leash he ran strainght for the waves.... We had to keep a leash on him at all times b/c the waves were pounding his little body. We would take him out on a raft with us in the ocean and he would jump off and swim with us. Has anyone's Yorkie enjoyed the ocean like this? I hope Lucy does, I would love to take her swimming.... Crystal

| We live by the beach in Charleston, SC and we go to Isle of Palms (we call it IOP) all the time. Sully loves going for walks on the beach = so many sights and smells and new things to discover. He doesn't like getting near the water, no thank you, haha! He's just not a big fan. But he DOES like chasing the sea gulls!

| I've taken her to Dog Beach in Coronado. She loves it there and she surprisingly stays close. If we are in the water she will run into it to us. She has no problem with the water. I have to scoop her up before a wave comes her because I'm afraid of her getting swept away. Just bring some towels and make sure it's a warm day if you're letting your dog loose and she decides to go into the water. |
