				   | The lady I bought Gidget from lives down the road from me. We live on a dirt road very rural amish country but cars tend to go fast on our road. I made the comment that I drove by and the yorkies were outside by the road with the kids and my son said he had went by earlier and all 4 yorkies were in the road with not anyone in sight. How can you let 4 little dogs run around on the road? I can't believe it. The cars fly down here since its not a main road. I just don't understand |

				   | You should DEFINATELY go say something to that lady! Maybe she doesn't even realize that the pups are out on the road like that. Maybe her kids let them out. Either way, she needs to know your concerns about it. Maybe she doesn't realize that cars zoom by. I bet if you told you that you have seen SEVERAL cars whizzing by lately that she would be more careful with her little ones. This issue definately needs to be addressed to her. |

				   | I'm not sure that the Amish really care about their dogs, I think they only use them for breeding purposes only, as I have read. They don't believe in education, electricity and rely soley on their farming. They may be no better than a small time puppymill.

				   | That's so sad. I would never let my dog in the road even if it were my own driveway I just wouldn't feel comfortable with him running around free without supervision, etc. Poor yorkies. I hope they don't get hit! Btw, I think she was saying amish to describe the land and area she lives in, not to describe the care vs. neglect for the dogs.
