Thank you all for your support. I slept in the van last night with the Dennis and it was pretty uncomfortable to say the least. I was perched on a hill over looking my neighborhood and fortunately we were 4 inches from a breach…how lucky can you get. All I could think of is “Who would have thought I would have water front property.” So many people lost everything and everyone is saying the worst flood in 50 years. Feel so bad for so many, especially all the misplaced animals that I saw. The Restaurant down the block had water past the roof, and the Susquehanna and all the small streams seemed to merge surrounding us and I thought for sure we would flood after all the thunder storms we had last night. I did bring my bicycle so I peddled back here to take a long bath because I can’t stand to be filthy and I certainly was that! They are still not allowing anyone back, but I think the worst is over, even though they are still calling for more and more rain. I just talked to a neighbor and he said he was able to drive in, so I guess this is a secret because the police were telling me “No you can’t get back yet.”. There must me many more like me, now that I have gotten to see the news, floods from DC to Jersey. Hope everyone was as lucky as the Dennis and me. I will include some pictures I took. | |

| I am so glad that you are ok! I know how frightening it is. Although I got lucky and the river never came over I feel so sorry for all the people it effected. Down my way there are still people in the wilkes barre area that are not allowed back home yet. There are a lot of homes and businesses under water. They are now calling for severe thunderstorms this evening. When will it end. If you need anything just pm me I am not too far away from you. God Bless meeshue |
