| Although I love my dog and all, I do not want to sit next to someone on a plane who loves their ferret or rabbit .(and therefore wants their pet on their lap as well) .. so I can see the point .... but I do think of Freeway as a "person" and would love it if he could sit on my lap .... You always have to look at it from someone else's perspective ... **alas*** Quote:

| I take Max almost everywhere I go, even to my little supermarket. NYC is very dog friendly. I don't take him to restaurants or large supermarkets because they're not allowed to let him in due to Board of Health regulations. There are a few websites that list dog friendly restaurants. There are several in NYC - mostly places with outdoor eating, and there are several bars. I don't drink, but it's a great idea! I carry Max when we go shopping, or wherever. If he's not allowed in, we just don't go. I think the reason I don't get annoyed is because my daughter has MS and if she needed a real assistance dog, I wouldn't want her to have any problems because too many people were taking advantage. On the other hand, I am planning to have Max go through the training to become a therapy dog. He has the temperament for it, and I think it's a wonderful contribution to society. I also think dogs like to have jobs. It's part of their genetics. I think it would be wonderful for a little, cutie pie 8 pound dog to make the world just a little bit better.
