| How to cope with Daisy gone... Daisy had her finals days with me and I'm very glad she did. Unfortunately she is no longer with us. It's been very hard on my family although she has only been with us for a week. I just can't believe that anyone can be so selfish and the greed of money is what killed her. I did my best and that was all I could do. My son is not in his happiest mood right now. After she left us this morning, Tyler (my son) went to my neighbor's house and took their yorkie, Kobe, and brought him home without them knowing. He even changed Kobe's name to Daisy and started to act like nothing happened. AFter I made him apologize and give Kobe back, he broke into tears and I just don't know what to do. I'm very frustrated right now... |

| AWWW I'm so sorry about Daisy. You did a great thing and gave her a happy 1 week. I'm just sorry you and your family have to go through this. I hope the breeder gets what she deserves. I'm so sorry about your loss I would encourage your son to talk about all the good things he liked about Daisy and what his favorite moments with her were. Maybe it will help him let go. How old is he?

| I think what happened to Daisy was terrible. Surely the breeder will compensate you for it, or at least sell you another for half the price . . . |

| I'm so sorry that Diasy was with you for only a short time. That breeder should feel awful for selling you a very obviously sick baby, but I'm glad she at least had some happiness and love for her final days. There was a reason she came into your life and although we may never know for sure what it was, know that you made her feel secure and loved.

| I know a new puppy will never replace her but maybe you need to get a new one kinda fast so your son will be happy and wont have to claim the neighbors. that is sooooo sad. I am so sorry this happened but since you only had her a week the sooner you get him another one the sooner he will forget her and get on with being happy again. I dont mean buy too fast and get another sick one but as soon as its possible to find a good one I think would be great for you and your son, but especially your son. God knows I love kids and hate to see them lose something they love like that. its hard for you too but I feel its harder for kids. they dont understand as much. Good luck to you and your son and my sympathy to you.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I am so sorry to hear this. I remember reading your story a week ago. You and your family were so brave to take on this challenge. You were blessed with her for a short time but gave her more love in that time than she got her whole lifetime. This makes me cry. For those that want to read about this little precious, here is the thread. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44190

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | oh I'm so sorry! We lost one after just a short time too....I know how fast they can creep into your hearts. I'm sorry you had to go through this. I'd suggest talking with your son about what the good times were with Daisy. and I know this may seem like a crazy idea right now, but bringing a new puppy into your life will help heal your heart some. God bless. |

| I know a little pup or even a grown dog can become a part of your heart in even a few days. I had one of my dogs for 10 years and had to put her to sleep last October. It totally broke my heart. I am an easy going - not really an emotional person, but I couldn't even work for two weeks. I cried all the way to work, cried at work (had to leave) and cried all the way home. It's hard. You son probably does need a new little dog as soon as possible. Grief affects all of us in different ways -- but, young people, especially, are ready to start again with a new little pup. Sorry about your loss - Carol Jean |
