				   | Can anyone tell me where to purchase the D-rings used for harness dresses and other items? I've looked at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's Fabric (big store in Lafayette), Wal Mart, K-mart, Target. The ones I have found are too large, when I ask if they carry the smaller ones I'm told "no". I make my babies most of their own clothing, but decided I would now like to make them as harnesses. No, I'm not going in to business to sell them, so I won't be competing with anyone. I just want to make them for my own at my leisure. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!!!

				   | I get mine from WalMart. I think the last ones I bought were 3 in a package for about $2.00. I too searched for them. When I called to ask if they had any, they said "no". When I went there for something else, there they were, hanging in plain sight!! Course, at the WalMart here, most of the people wouldn't know the difference between a "D"-ring and an earring!! | You may want to try Michaels. I'd call and ask to speak with the arts and crafts department.

				   | If you are going to be using more than a few I'd check online. I'm sure you can find a much better deal than at the stores around you. Here's a couple of sites I've bought from, I haven't boought d-rings but other stuff...From this one I have ordered barrettes for making bows. She was very quick to get my order out. www.lesbonribbon.com (I didn't see 1/2" though only 3/8" and 1" brass ones) for a pkg of 100 3/8" its 7.50 And this one I have ordered ribbon. www.jcarolinecreative.com Her's are under belt hardware.

				   | Thank you everyone for all the responses. I've ordered some from Tiger's Mom. She was kind enough to let me buy some off her. I want to put some on dresses I've already made and then make a few more. I like to sew more in the winter time than summer so I'll have enough for awhile. I will try looking in some of the other places mentioned though and can't thank you all enough.

				   | My Michaels, Joanns and Walmart don't carry the smaller size that are used on harnesses. I just ordered some on-line from the jcaroline website (link in above message). They are very reasonable. She had the 3/8 in and the 5/8 inch. |

				   | I was checking ebay and found Creative Designworks. But instead of going through ebay, I found their website instead and have ordered lots of things from them.....www.cdwplus.com and all the items I have purchased have not had any additional shipping costs...plus the more you order, the cheaper the price. I use sizes 1/2 and 3/4. I enjoy making things for our girls also and almost everything now has a d-ring to make it easier to take them for walks!!
