| Is having a 2nd yorkie too much harder?? I know alot of you out there have 1 or more yorkies. I'm getting a new little girl towards the end of the month.(see my yorkies thread I posted for pics) Is having two so much harder.. I worry about that. I want Parker to have a little buddy and to be really honest I want to buy some of those oh so cute girly clothes. (ha ha ha) I love my little Parker so much and He dresses up pretty cute too but I've been wanting a girl too. Thanks to Jill Brooks LittleBits Mom I'm getting my Emi. I hope her and Parker get along. she will be about 14 -15 weeks when I get her. and Parker will be around 6 months. Any suggestions of introducing them. Parker loves all doggys and he's not aggressive, but he does like to play. I dont want Parker to get Jealous. He is such a snuggle bunny. Also I wonder. He has been fixed and still from time to time if there is a stuff animal laying around he will do the humpy thing with it. Will he try to hump the new puppy???? He doesnt hump anything else just stuff animals. I tell him no when he does it and I take it away. Even though he looks at me like......Hey, I was having fun, Gosh! hahaha. I have an xpen and Jill said it will probably be good to put them together. I would love any advise that you may have for me. Thanks!!! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have a 9 year old pom and had never had 2 dogs at the same time until I got Cali 10 months ago. Maya is a crabby dog but I think having the puppy has made her more active. Cali wants to play but Maya really doesn't. I think 2 around the same age would be great. You just need tos supervise their play. I think you will be real happy with 2.

| I am actually getting 2 yorkies next week! It is a little harder but not alot. i have a friend and they have 3 dogs and it doesnt really seem like 3 because they all get along. Having 2 is more fun because when your not home they have each other and when you get home you'll have 2 happy puppies! |

| have 2 We have 2. First we had a male (now 16mo) and adopted a rescue (at 6mo-now 9mos and this is her 4th home) He took to her immediately and she to him. They are inseperable and cry if you take 1 and not the other. If 1 goes to the vet the other cries and mopes till the return. He has her almost housebroken. |

| I have 5 at the moment, and I wouldn't say it is hard. They tend to copy eachother so it helps with toilet training.Bath time is hard and so is the grooming, but they all play together so I can get on with jobs.I love them and all the love and affection they give me makes up for it all |

| personally I think it is easier to have 2 than one. They keep eachother busy and they keep eachother active. Bailey is not so lonely anymore now that I have brought Morgan home. Good luck.

| Having 2 Yorkies just means you get twice the love! I have Fitzgergald, a 3 yr. old male & Roxy, a 9 mo. old female. They get along famously, although Fitz was not nuts about her when we brought her home! They became best pals within a day & are now inseperable. We love them both & the only time they get jealous is if we take one with us somewhere & leave the other behind. Otherwise, they just share our laps & our love. |

| I have always had two dogs. I would just compare it to having one child or twins. Two dogs are more work. I think the worst things are, of course, the pooping, peeing, chewing, training, etc. Other than these things (which aren't small), I don't think anything else is much extra work. A lot of work that you do for one dog - isn't much extra at all for two - feeding, for example. Good luck! Carol Jean |

| I am so glad to hear all the good vibes on the is thread! I am getting my little girl next week and am a little nervous how Starsky will react. She is quite small, so it may be awhile when they are together totally un-supervised. He has been so clingy lately, I hope he doesn't freak out!

| I have a 7 yr. old male yorkie (Kobe) & a 11 wk. old female yorkie (Kali). Kobe is very laid back and spoiled. Kali is the total opposite (so far). Yes it has been more work but just because she is a puppy. They do like each other but she is a bit aggressive for Kobe right now. He likes to watch her from the couch and wag his tail. Every now and then he gets down and will play with her but when she starts nipping at his legs of jumping on him he is done and goes back on the couch. I also can't wait to put bows in her hair but she won't let me yet. She does have her first dress and it is adorable. We call it the angel dress because she won't hardly move when we put it on her. I'm sure you will not regret getting a second yorkie. It is just double the loving and kisses. |

| I have a 9 month old male Yorkie named Puppers and just got my little Lucy this past Monday. They are doing GREAT and Puppers plays very gentle with her. I brought Puppers with me to meet Lucy when I picked her up that way it wasnt a shock to have her in the house all of the sudden. When we got home they played in the living room and have been great since! Hope it all goes well with your little one and the new little girl. -Cindie, Puppers & Lucy www.myspace.com/puppersandlucy |

| Double the fun, Double the Trouble I had Homer for about 9 months befor I got Kady. I too wanted a little girl to dress up. Homer loved to be around other dogs, however he didnt take to well to Kady right away. I gave them about 2 weeks together and they fell in love. Now they are inseperable. I love playing and getting love from both of my babies, HOWEVER, with two the mischievous can be 2 times and bad. It seems as though if one is looking for trouble the other one is right beside. Kady has a thing for my shoes, she likes to take them and hide them when I am getting ready for work, Homer likes to help. Homer hides all of his favorite things inside the house and Kady hides everything outside. So short story, each morning I have to go and and collect my shoes from the backyard and locate the other one inside the house somewhere. Its a lot of fun having two, but boy if can be more than you thought!!! Best of luck & congrats on the new addition!!!!

| at the moment i have two yorkies.. i'm fostering one so it's only temporary. i actually think it's easier to have two. the only problem is going on walks. during the day they keep each other entertained and i feel better about leaving them home alone because they'll keep each other from getting lonely. |

| Oh Denise, 2 will not be a problem at all, I promise!!! And when you get your third and fourth it will be even easier. The only difference is you just have to watch where you walk. LOL
