| Tiffany fell off the back of the couch! About 10 minutes ago. She always like to sit on the back (the high part) of the couch and I always tell her to get down because it makes me nervous. And she is clumsy. But before I could say anything she fell right off. I had a mini heart attack! I ran and scooped her up and moved all her legs to make sure they were ok and she seems to be fine. I dont know how she didnt get hurt. It was probably a 3 foot fall. Has this ever happened to anyone else?? She is so tiny, I cant believe she is ok!!

| Yep, that is heart-attack causing when they do that stuff. My Yorkie onced jumped out of my arms in the front yard as he saw a small rodent like animal and he landed on hard concrete as I was standing out front in the driveway talking to a neighbor. My heart stopped, I checked him out and fortunately after a very expensive visit and overnight stay at an ER animal hospital, he had just sprained a leg. Scared me to death Glad your wee one is okay. |

| Yes and you always have a heart attack. Mac & Mellie sleep with me, my bed is about 4 feet off the ground. They make me so nervous when they decide they need to check out a noise and go diving off the bed. I always have to get up and make sure they are alright.

| It happens to Ginger all the time and it doesn’t even faze her…she’s like a cat/monkey. I think if she were hurt she would let you know. Is she crying or does she seem to be in pain?

| Moe I know what you mean...My baby Moe Fell today from the top of the staircase clean to the bottom, looked like he was gone be quite hurt at the bottom, nothing i could do to catch him as it happened sooo fast! He held his bad leg out straight , and I thought oh my whats wrong with that? I felt him and moved things gently, nothing felt or sounded wrong inside.....he limped away, didn't want to know me.....somehow I think he blames me, or maybe he is embarrased.....anyways..yes I thought Id be on here today with the sad tale of losing Moe to that fall, thank God our Yorkies have that bit of Rotti in them!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Kristi I can imagine the scare you had, with Tiffany being so tiny. I am so glad she is Ok. I remember when i first got Cali and I was out front with the neigbor lady and her kids and I told them they could only hold her if they were sitting down. Well they sat down real nice and Cali jump right out of my arms onto the grass. She was fine but boy was I embarrassed.

| I'm glad to hear Tiffany wasn't hurt. It is always gut wrenching when these guys take flying leaps or just plain fall. Short of keeping them crated at all times, the best we can do is watch them and hope they learn from the mishaps. Sissy won't go down stairs since she fell down them the 2nd week we had her. In fact, she won't go down any stairs. Yet, she doesn't hesitate to take flying leaps off the couch or our high bed. Shes a little bigger than Tiffany, but still a very small 4 lbs (if she regained the ounces she lost being sick).
