| They are all different, some are really soon, and some later, some don't. Bailey's were up by 6 months between about 4-6 months one was up one down, then they would switch, then one day they were both up and never went down again, but I rember wondering if it would ever happen. I massaged his ears a lot, they say that helps, and trim the hair on the edges so the ears aren't heavy.

| Morgan is 18-weeks and both are up. I keep them trimmed both the hairs on the outside and inside. If you do a search for ears you should find tons of posts on this.

| Jax turned 14 weeks last Thursday and one ear is completely up. The other has about 1/2 inch still flopped over.

| Bailey being our first Yorkie, I had no idea when to expect her ears to perk up, so I was concerned when they hadn't come up at all at 9 weeks. I started rubbing her ears much of the time that she was in my lap - which was a LOT of time. At 10 weeks we had the hair on her ears trimmed by the groomer (who has five Yorkies of her own and told us not to worry about those ears - she said they'd be up when it was time for them to be up). At 11 weeks and 1 day her ears were up as perfectly as we could possibly hope for. Maybe all the attention to rubbing her ears and trimming the hair on them didn't contribute - maybe it was just a coincidence that they came up so soon. But based on our experience, I'll sure do the same thing with our next Yorkie pup. |

| I think they hold them up and down just to bug us. I have had puppies who it seems were born with their ears up. Others took forever but oh, what joy when they stayed up for 2-3 days in a row; then forever. They can go down when sick, stressed, teething and at other times. Keep the whole ear clippered as short as possible both inside and out. They will stand soon.... |

| Sydney's ears never stood up until I had the groomer shave all the hair off the front and back and I still had to tape one ear up. One groomer told me that they would never stand up that trimming the hair didn't work. Well they are standing pretty now. I guess she didn't know anything after all. Try having them shaved off and taping them up with masking tape. It works! |
