Keep us updated! I think that 3 months old is too young to be spaying a dog... I hope you get your puppy back!

I can't believe someone that lives right down the road from U would still U're baby...I tell U people are so sick now days. I hope U get her back...I would go nuts too if anyone stole my babies. I live in Indiana also...In Seymour...U'd think the police would do something more to help U! What about posting things in the newspaper about her being stolen or what about an editorial in U're local newspaper about how U know who took her but the police won't help U do anything...That might put some fire under the ploice's behinds??? Or what about small claims court??? I don't know I'd be like they all say steeling her back!! I mean if that is the last thing U can do then a Yorkee owner has to do what they have to do!! And to some of us like me it is a life or death situation!!! I would die for all 6 of my babies! Hugs and good luck, Lee & Babies

The police must not be to sharp if they can't tell the difference between a male or female dog, even if the male is neutered. Maybe you can get your vet to go with the police so he can tell them she is a girl.

A lot of people wait until they are older because yorkies are so small but that is old enough to be neutered. Some breeders neuter their puppies before they let them leave their homes.

I would make it very clear to these people that you will not rest and will do whatever it takes to get your dog back.
I hope you have her home soon.

That is horrible, I hope you get her back soon!!! You should take her to vet and get her microchipped as soon as you get her back and take detailed pictures of her so you won't have this problem again. Keep us updated!!

Rent a Hummer, throw a rope around that womans house and floor the pedal, when the house comes off the foundation, she will know not to mess with you.

I would steal her back even if I had to just go up and take her away from the kids. then when the cops show up tell them oh no somone returned our dog see they said they have a male. But I would probably already be in big trouble with the cops that couldnt' tell the difference. I'da had some kind of a rude remark about not being able to tell it wasn't a male and not comparing to what they had. I"d probably told them to go back to the station and send a real man back who knows what one looks like. Then after posting bail...........

I really hope you get your baby back!!!! I surprised you have not broke down their front door yet. Have you checked the dog out for yourself to see if it is female or male? I would not take the cops word for it. They obvoiusly have very small minds. Good Luck!!!

The people that stole your dog are saying that it's a male and they had him neutered? Are they saying he is 3 months old or are you saying that your meg is 3 months old? You can't neuter a 3 month old male pup. His testicles haven't even dropped by then, if I'm not mistaken.

One suggestion about a different route to take....

Have you contacted your local animal control officers? I know ours here are very helpful in all types of situations. I'm pretty sure that if I called up ours and let them know that I had a puppy, my neighbor now has the puppy, won't return it and is saying that it is a male when it is a female, etc. that they would be more than willing to come check the situation out.
After all, animal control is there to look out for the well being of animals. Now that I think about it, tell them that you've seen your dog at your neighbors, you love your dog and want her back and have been trying to, but you are really scared because she is so tiny and you saw the kids yanking her down the street by her leash or something...If they think the animal is in danger, they'll come.
Just do anything to get the animal control out there, they will know without a doubt what the sex is.
