| Am I The Only One Who Feels Bad? Okay i know this has been on here before but am I the only one who feels bad about leaving my baby all day for work? I wanted a puppy so baby and I love him SO much but I always feel so bad when i leave him in the morning for work. I leave about 7:30 and than I try to hit the gym after work so I usually do not get home till about 6:45pm. My husband is self employed so he will go in and out of the house during the day and even take him on trips sometimes when he runs errands but some days he is home all day alone - does anyone else do this or am i the only bad mommy?

| Well I know what you mean because thats what I did. I totally stopped going to the gym but I am really trying to get back since summer bathing suit season is coming and I do live in Florida (land of the constant bathing suit) GULP!! I do try to take him with me everywhere and even stay at home instead of going out at night. In fact my husband and I have argued about me not wanting to do anything anymore now since I have my baby - opps! I just hate leaving him when I have been gone all day. Thanks - glad to hear I am not the only one who feels bad.

| If this is how guilty I feel with a dog, imagine what I will feel like with a child. Leaving Lola feels awful. I quit my yoga classes because I felt like the extra 2 hours would be too much time away from her. I think it's normal to feel a little guilty.

| Owning a yorkie is very expensive . . .and therefore we have to be somewhat financially stable to be able to afford them and maintain them. I have a full time job and although it is a dream for me to be a stay home mom, I cannot afford it. I go home during my lunch hour to take Tiger for walks and play with both of them. I think as long as we spend quality time with them, I guess it is okay that we need to do what we need to do to be able to "keep them". Because I am gone practically all day, I make sure that I am close to them constantly . . . and so I take them to bed as well! It is so nice to cuddle them in bed! |

| I feel guilty everyday when I leave and she cocks her head to the side and stares at me as I walk out of the door. It takes everything I have not to call in sick everyday. I quit going horseback riding after work and taking ballet classes 5 times a week. Now I take my ballet class once a week, when she can be with daddy. Unfortunately my work is no where near my home so I can't go see her. But I have a good argument to have a second one..lol..My boyfriend loves her but sometimes gets pissed cause when he wants to do something I won't do it unless I find a sitter..lol..Oh well.

| Nearly twelve hours seems like an unreasonable amount of time to leave one alone everyday. That little one should be a priority.

| Hate to tell you all this but .... the guilt gets worse!! I'm with Toto 24/7 except for shopping where I can't take her and those rare occasions that we go out to eat at a nice restaurant that doesn't have "patio" dining! If we are gone for over an hour, both of us are in a panic to get home!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I stay at home with Cali and I usually go once a day to my parents for a couple of hours and I feel so guilty. Luckily my husband is home by 2;30 so sometimes I go after he's home. Fri sat and Sun she is nevre alone one of is always here. I still feel guilty. Then I think back to all my other dogs I had when I worked and they all survived and thrived. Most dogs when the yget toa 1 1/2 years sleep a lot anyway. So don't feel bad you are providing a loving home for them
