| Though she's tried hard to make her site look very family oriented and very friendly, something is terribly wrong with this picture. I would NEVER pay that much money or anything remotely close to it for a mutt, which is basically what a mixed breed is. You can get a mix ("Designer hybrid") at the shelter for $80, spayed/neutered and lots of love to give. The fact that she has so many breeds and interbreeds them is disturbing. I would NOT buy from this woman

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I think that the designer puppies are cute. I am not all that happy about the prices that she is asking but to each their own on what they are willing to pay. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a "designer" dog but that is just me. Of all the mixed doggies that I have seen I do favor the shorkies (shih tzu/yorkie mix). Personally if I wanted a mixed dog I would hit the rescue or the animal shelter. Tons of them there and way cheaper. The fact that she has so many dogs/breeds and interbreeds does disturb me. I personally wouldn't buy from her. I didn't particularly care for the way that her older dogs that are up for sale look. I do have to say though that yorkie/long hair chi that she shows up top...isn't that a yorkie/pom mix that we have seen someplace else. I remember a lot of folks commenting that it looked like a cute teddy bear. I might be mistaken though. Susan at Top Notch Yorkies was previously a breeder and I would say is now a broker that brings in the puppies from Brazil. I bought Lex from her in NJ and my friend on here has her Jazzy from her. She has some mixes as well as pure bred dogs.

| Ok, here's my opinion although it may not be the answer you were looking for. I personally believe that there are way too many puppies in this world that need homes for someone to be breeding mixes and selling them for over $1000. I think that it's rediculous for someone to be running there business by mixing breeds of dogs, when the purpose for breeding more animals should be for the betterment of the breed. I believe this woman is just breeding whatever she has sitting around and selling them for a huge profit. Grrrrr...that makes me furious. If you want to breed, breed for the betterment of the breed, such as removing congenital defects from your lines/specific breed etc, not just for the money!!!

| I too worry about that many dogs. Are the puppies getting the attention they deserve and need? I do not see anything wrong with buying a mix breed. I have had Yorkie, Maltese and now Morkie puppies. I think the Morkie puppies are the cutest yet. I am going to have a hard time parting with them. I wish I could get $1800 for them. That would buy a lot of toys and bones for their mommy and daddy. Just really check the puppies and parents out. See how they interact with you and their owner. best of luck on your puppy search. |

| I really wish people wouldn't be so judgemental.... I've been there twice and both times saw nothing that should put up a red flag. While I didn't sit down and inspect every single dog there, I did get a good look at most of them (my pups parent's especially). All her dogs have access to large outdoor runs and when you pull up to the house, most of them will come running to the fence line. They all looked happy, healthy and well fed. While I don't like the fact that she has almost as many "designer mixes" as purebreeds, I don't blame her for producing those pups. Whether we like it or not, people are buying them. As long as people keep asking for them and paying the prices the breeders ask, the breeders are going to keep producing them! Can you blame someone for responding to consumer demands? Wouldn't you ask the highest possible price you can get? This is what some breeders do for a living. You can't expect them to sit back and take losses all the time, they need to make money too! We need to remember that Yorkies were derived from mixing other breeds. If they hadn't done that we wouldn't have our furbabies today! Yes, you can get some of those same mixes in shelters, but there's plenty of purebred Yorkies stuck in rescues and shelters too. I really don't think that a mixed breed pup is any more likely to end up in the shelter than any other dog..... At one point I did, but after seriously thinking about it, I've come to the conclusion that if a person is going to give a dog up, they're going to give it up whether it's full blooded or not! I've seen breeders condemned for the content of their websites too many times... I'm just sad that it's happening to my breeder this time. Again, I've been there. As far as I know, none of the other people posting on this thread can say that! If any of you have PERSONALLY had a bad experience with OhPuppyLove and their dogs, please speak up.... but as far as I'm concerned, she's a decent breeder who produces strong, healthy little puppies. Getting my Pixie from her was one of the best things I've done and I'd do it again in a heartbeat..... And no, she was NOT under-socialized, nor did she have any contagious viruses or congenial defects. She's a healthy little girl who's done nothing but bring joy into my life. I know they've been undergoing some changes and that a family member has taken over ... So as far as I know, things have changed since I was there last Nov (her website hasn't though. It all looks the same)... I don't know! But unless you've been there since Nov and can say things are different from what I saw, I don't think it's fair to speak of her in this manner. Sorry for the rambling... I just couldn't stand idly by while my breeder was needlessly being insulted. |

| She still hasn't responded to my email. And yeah her prices are expensive for mutts, but there still really cute! Im hearing mixed reviews, but positive reviews from the 2 people who have purchased from her, so if she does respond, I will have to see myself how it is. |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | Is this the Breeder that also sells at the Seven Mile Fair in Wi. The dogs look familiar. They are cute, If it is i know a girl who got to Teddybear pups from her and they were both fine.

| I've made up my mind on this breeder. I'm NOT paying over $1,000 for a mixed breed! I've seen them on other websites for a lot cheaper. Yeah this one isn't as far (driveable distance), and I would be able to check them out before I purchased, but 1G is a lot for a mutt. If it was purebreed that would be a total different story, but it's not so I'm not going to let my bf spend that much on one. I've also got in contact with a lady who is selling porkies (poms/yorkie mixes). Now the only problem is I stay at my bf's house (our house is being built) and he STILL hasn't told his mom about this...he says it will be OK, but I dont want to bring a dog here and have his mom not be OK with it, just out of respect for her even though he says not to worry about it. |

| My opinion: I don't really like the new designer dog principle. There are millions of "Designer Dogs" in shelters. Puppies are SO much fun, but other dogs need homes too. I think if you are going to buy from a breeder the dog should be purebred, and bred to a standard. The puppies are gorgeous, but she does have a lot of dogs (which makes me question their care). Go with your instincts, I'm sure you will do what is best for you <--I just saw you have made your decision on this breeder, good job! lol
