English Bred?
 

I got all you guys beat......my Breeder has a 50 lb. Yorkie and he is knee-high in height. She swears he's a 100% Yorkie w/AKC. papers, he supposedly has a thyroid problem & allergies, she also claims that the Breeder she got him from said that he was also English Bred? Directly from England? He's the sweetest thing he just looks like a "Mega Mutant Yorkie" that's what they would call him if he was on "South Park" (sounds like something Cartman would say?):confused: LOL.

OMG. I would love to see pictures of him. I've seen one over 20lbs before but, I've never seen or heard of one that big.

Our remi is about 11-12 lbs, very proportional and he is a pure yorkie.
We like it that wAy, he is very active and we can actually play with him without being worried about breaking his back or legs.

ben my first yorkie was about 20 pound, scampi was about 12 pound and had cruff champs in his pedigree. brandi my rescue yorkie is about 13 pound but still needs to put some more weight on shes very long and quite tall.this is her in the middle of tye and zac who are 12 pound but a bit over weight.

Dayzee is 11 months old and weighs 11 pounds. She is my avatar. I just hope this trend of months and pounds stops soon. She is all Yorkie but dislikes being dressed up. None of that girly stuff for her -- I think she would be a tomboy in another life.

I can not wait for Peach to grow...she can squeeze through anything I swear!
I am going to love letting her out in the yard to pee without a leash, but right now she squeezes between the fence boards :eek: My cat can not even do that!

:D BTW- I do have his papers, and his mom and dad were just 4 and 6 lbs. ....But, I love the term "TeaPOT" yorkie. Next time anyone asks, that's what I'll say he is. Can't wait to see the expression on their face, lol. :aimeeyork

Where is this 4 to 7 pound standard?
The standard states..."not to exceed 7 pounds"...I have had many under 4 pounds and they are 100% Yorkie...some are larger then the standard, but reputable breeders do strive to stay within the limits...a few pounds over happens...12/15 is really pushing it..I saw a 23 pounder and she was HUGE!! Did not look much like a Yorkie, but had AKC papers..papers mean nothing unless the breeders behind them are honest.. I can not imagine a purebred at 50..I would love to see it...

Katy is a big girl. She weighs in at 9lbs.

I just took the baby, Rocco to the vet yesterday and he weighs in at 15 lbs. Its funny bcuz Maxx and Evey both weight 7 and 8 lbs so it is cute when they all sit together, its a stair step. But Rocco is 8 months old and Maxx and Evey are 6 & 7 yrs old and even though Rocco is twice the size of my older ones, it is SO obvious he is the baby! :aimeeyork

I love reading all about everyone's bigger Yorkies. My buddy is 13.7
as of last Fri at the vets. He is a prue bred but I have no idea how
large his parents were. I was not familiar with the larger ones so when
he got that big I was amazed! He is now 2 1/2. I would not trade him for the world, nothing
like a bigger Yorkie just more to love.
