Hey Everyone! I was just curious how long it took you to get your AKC papers. I got my lil man almost 3 weeks ago and haven't gotten anything yet. There was not any stipulation that I had to get him neutered before the papers were sent. I just thought I should have received something by now. What do you think?

I would be calling the breeder and find out when she sent in the litter application. Usually, you go home with the registration application that you send in to AKC at the same time you pick up the puppy. Your breeder must not be on top of things.

| I feel bad for the feeling you have right at this moment. That feeling of uncertainty. I learned my lesson from that one. I will never purchase from a breeder again, unless I know one thing for certain, that they have the papers ready for me to take when I get the puppy. I had the same similar experience when I purchased Bailey. She didnt have the AKC papers yet, and from the drive home, and 1 month and a half later, I was fed up w/ waiting, I called her and she knew I meant business. Needless to say I got my papers in 2 days after that phone call. But the feeling up until I had them, was horrible. Good Luck! Jessica

yes... when my puppies are ready to go to their new homes.... they get the paperwork at that time. I register the litter as soon as the pups are born and AKC has been very fast with sending me my papers. I have everything ready weeks before the puppies are even ready. Call your breeder and tell her you want it!

Thanks everyone! I called the breeder yesterday and she said she has been having problems with her internet and hasn't been able to finish the papers online. I don't know, sorta sounds like a good excuse. She said she would try doing it again Tuesday when she is in the office, so we will see.
