Oh that is great to hear that you are getting a playmate for him! When we went to look at Beasley today, him and his brother were so playful and sweet, it is going to break my heart to separate them. If I could buy two I would do it in a second! I bet that we will eventually get him a playmate....we will not having children for a while either, I was just telling my husband tonight that this has totally suppressed my motherly needs for having a baby right now! So Beasley will be my baby for a few years! I can't wait! Where did your husband go to high school? I am actually from Dallas, TX, but Eric knows alot of people around here, I have only lived here a few years. Eric always says that he had to import himself a good gal from TX, whatever! I do love it here and will not be moving back to Dallas that is for sure. Talk to you soon!

Did you get him neutered pretty quickly? It's about $175 with the pain meds here, so we were thinking of doing it in about another month or two, he is already 4 months old.

We got Hobbs neutered when he was 5.5 months old. We got him neutered right when he started humping stuff. Since we got him neutered, he hasn't humped a single thing and he hasn't shown us his "lipstick." At 9 months old, he also still squats to go to the bathroom...he has never lifted his leg to pee pee. I would recommend doing it ASAP to avoid humping, showing lipstick, etc. Also, if you don't want him to be a humper, I would not buy him any stuffed animals. If he doesn't have anything to hump (such as a stuffed animal) then he will be less likely to be a "humper." If you are able, I would get him neutered no later than when he is 6 months old, if humping, lifting leg to pee, and showing lipstick matter to you. If that kind of stuff doesn't bother you, then you can wait until he is older. I have noticed that Hobbs has calmed down a lot and he is much sweeter now that he is neutered.
