| Save pets from the next hurricane There is bill that is now in the senate that has to do with saving pets from the next disaster. If you want to add your name to support this, go to https://community.hsus.org/campaign/...=F7aLK8K1wRUEE and fill in the information. The House has already passed a version of the bill. The stories and pictures from Katrina really tore at my heart with the knowledge that many animals and their owners who would not leave them didn't survive. IMO, it was wrong to ignore the animals, especially since they were not capable of saving themselves. |

| I understand it was a disaster of great magnitude, and I wish people involved did not have to deal with it. But I can not imagine leaving my dog behind in any circumstance. I am sure lots of people had to make that choice, but it's just hard to comprehend. |
