| My new puppy's home! We picked up our new puppy on Tuesday. As much as I've read about all the things that are needed for the trip home...boy was I unprepared! I ended up having to work in the morning & didn't want to be late picking up the puppy & rushed off. I stopped at a petstore & bought a pruse-like carrier. It was XSmall & on clearance for $11.99. Prefect & pink! On the way home the puppy was crying. I stopped to buy a newspaper & a bottle of water. She pottied & drank water & slept all the way home. After a great name debate between Gibbons (Gibbs) & Riley. Riley won. Although I do catch myself calling her Gibbs sometimes. Her vet check yesterday went well. Riley is 8 weeks old & weights 1.4 lbs. Riley's doing well with her dog litter box (with newspaper). I'll have to read the back thread on crate training. Thanks to everyone for all your help here! |
