| Breeding Where do you go to start learning about breeding? From what I've read on this site, there is A LOT to consider. I'm not sure I want to breed Rylee, but I would like to research it. Is there a website? Any really great helpful books? Any help is much appreciated!

| mentor I have never mentored anyone unless they lived close. I need to teach things hands on, like structure, grooming, going to shows..and shows are not only for people who want to show, that is where you learn about breeding, you can not bred unless you know what a good Yorkie looks like, moves correctly, structure, coat, color texture, on and on.. dozens of things you can not teach long distance. A good mentor will advise you on what to buy and what to breed that bitch to..when the pups come, the mentor will evaluate them and help you decide what to keep and what to place. Teach you to set goals. Plus, a good mentor will introduce you to others who can teach you what they know and help you achieve thsoe goals. |
