| What to do with my Rabbit Killer?! Well I just amused all my neighbors running around the yard trying to get Bailey to drop the baby bunny he was carrying around the yard! I put him out and I kept looking out the back door, and noticed he was in the same spot for quite awhile,, then I saw a little gray bundle moving, Yep a baby bunny this the third one, I know my cat is bringing them here, and then he goes out and finishes them off, I know it's instinct and it's what they do, but I don't want him eating the whole thing. My other neighbor came over and we cornered him under the wicker bench enough that I could grab his back legs, and he dropped it,and I picked it up in a plastic bag! EWWWW! I pray that is it, I'm tired of fighting him for rabbits... poor bunny.

| Oh you poor thing! I could not cope with that! I count myself lucky with just having to wrestle the occasional mouse off my wee *ratter* - well actually I send in the husband to take care of that stuff. I also thanked my lucky stars that dougal's a whopper puppy cos he was paying very undue attention to a rabbit hole when we visited a friend's farm. (He was too big to go down the hole.) We have a rule in our house - I deal with the things that come out of the pets and my dh takes care of the things that the pets bring in. Maybe you need a rule like that too!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Ewwwww...he isn't eating them is he ? Maybe just trying to play with it ? My girls each have caught a bird in mid air - but no bunnies for us....I think I'd FREAK if I saw that and I know it's pure instinct......Is he thinking the bunny is just a big moving squeaky toy or dinner ? and I just BET you entertained your neighbors - I think I'd make THEM get the bunny...that gives me the Willies ! |

| Bad boy, Bailey!! We see these little guys as our cute, furry little friends but in reality they are carnivorous hunters that can kill prey!! I cannot imagine my Nikko chomping on the skull of a rabbit but it would be perfectly natural (but totally gross ) for him to do so. Luckily for me, the city we live in doesn't have much in the way of wild life. The worst we have are pigeons and squirrels and they are too fast for Nikko to catch. Thank goodness for that.

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | My sad bunny story We had got my daughter a Rex Bunny for easter, this was a show bunny and she could have put him in 4-H. It was Eater day and we went to my husbands, Grandmothers for Easter dinner, we were gone maybe 3 hours and on the ride home my daughter was so excited about going home to play with her new bunny! She is 9 yrs old. So we pull into are drive and Haleigh jumps out of the van and runs to the front door, opens the door and turns around screaming bloody murder, "My Bunny's dead!" so she runs to my arms and I'm holding her while my husband goes in to see what happened and sure enough, are husky Malahn was waiting right by the front door to show us what she had caught! Were still not sure how she got ahold of the bunny, it was in a cage with the door shut, somehow the dog got into the room and knocked over the cage. It was such a sad Easter! So no more bunnies, but now we have a squirrel living in my garage! LOL Long story! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Rabbits generally have litters of four....on the plus side....you are down three. Sorry you know I couldn't resist. Any chance the bunny nest is IN your yard? Momma bunnies will make nests right in the middle of the yard...not exactly where you'd expect them to....they just dig a small burrow. If you find the nest you could "relocate" the bunnies. I don't know what to tell ya, but I couldn't take bunny crunching noises, I know that. When we were kids, our beagle found a nest....he'd bring one home, it would squeal, he'd drop it, we'd pick it up....he'd go get another. My mother let us keep them overnight....but she did not know we put them in a dresser drawer.
