What do you think of the 'Animal Law' in NM??

All dogs & cats must be tattooed or Microchipped

All dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered unless the Guardian obtains an 'intact animal permit'.

I don't agree with the tattooed and micrchipped part at all. I refuse to let them put something like that in or on my dog. That is no guarantee that anyone who may find your dog will see if they have a chip.

As for the spay and neuter well I don't see how they can enforce that so many people come from out of state to buy them.

I can see how this would cause many breeders to close up shop. For some breeders that is great. But for someone who would breed once a year or so it really sucks. I really wish the government too such a harsh stand on people who abuse kids. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
