| 1 puppy died and another sick puppy Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this? A lady I know in my town has been breeding for many years and has had some beautiful puppies that have gone on to be show dogs. All her puppies have always been healthy little bundles of joy! She has just sold 4 male puppies from a litter she has on the 19th february. 2 of the boys went to their new homes last week and are absolutley fine, but the 3rd boy went to his home on wednesday and within 2 days was rushed to the vets and was diagnosed with meningitus, he later died. She sold the 4th boy today and within 6 hours he was rushed to the vets and has not yet been diagnosed. He is on a drip and not doing too well.Has anyone come across this before? The breeder is so upset as she has never had this before, she cant understand how they are so well, but when they get to their new homes the illness starts? |

| Aw thats so sad. I hope that puppy pulls through. I think even the best breeders get a sick pup from time to time. I was going to adopt Chachis sister and she died while I was waiting on her. The only thing the breeder knew that was wrong with her was she had an open fontanel and had some hypoglyceemia episodes.

| Some illnesses and diseases take a couple weeks to really show up.... I hope none of the rest of the puppies get sick. Carol Jean |
