Nylabone?????

Bridget LOVES the Healthy Edibles bones! Especially the Bacon or Peanut flavored ones. I agree, I think they are much better than greenies - they're digestable! I have to ration them she likes them so much! Loved the photo of the small piece Smudger left! Bridget chews them down to about that size too and then leaves them around for me to find... got a present of one on my pillow the other day...

Is that the nylon bone or the editable one? The reason I ask is because I
was purchasing them and someone told me to read on the back regarding
ingesting them. It truly states "Not for Ingesting" unless it is only the size of
a grain of rice. I found this out "AFTER" buddy was hospitalized for vomiting
blood and serve diareah for 4 days. I still do not know what caused him to
be sick but the vet said not to give him nylon bones because the little fragments that are swallowed can tear the lining of the stomach? I will never give them to him
again. Just wanted to pass this on to all of you.

Hi Archie everyone thinks I am paranoid (they are right), but I don't give Georgie nylabones either it makes me nervous. Thanks for posting that and I am sorry that your baby got sick

I had heard that Greenies are real bad, but I have been buying Bailey 'Freshies', does anyone know anything about them? They are green in color too and he does eat it...he eats anything (even his poopy - ) I also give him rawhides...he loves to chew...I figure better that than our furniture!! Although he has chewed up our baseboard!!

When I started reading lables I could not believe how many of these types
of chew toys are not digestable! What do they think the dogs do with them?
How do you give a dog a bone and expect him not to chew it and ingest the
pieces. Please be careful and read the lables on these things. Look for the fine print. I think you will be amazed at what you are reading.

Yea I gave Georgie one once and watched him as he chew it and ate a piece. My first concern was oh no what if it gets stuck in his throat, but then I read the label and you are absolutely right.

I gave Annie a healthy edibles Nylabone for the first time yesterday. It's the only thing she had yesterday that was different than any other day. Last night she spent every other hour throwing up, and me changing sheets and blankets

I think that the original Nylabones and Healthy Edibles (made by Nylabone) are two different things. I am reading the Healthy Edibles packaging and it says that these bones are "edible and digestible, providing an enjoyable alternative to rawhide...ALL NATURAL...contain NO plastic and NO added salt or sugar."

Obviously they are safe and digestible, but I agree with what someone said earlier...if your dog swallows the bone whole, obviously this is not good for them. If your dog chews it, then it is probably safe in most cases safe.

Sorry your little one got sick! I hope she is feeling better today!

She didn't eat the bone whole but "slowly" chewed it up over an hour...

I just got out a nylabone for Baci. He keeps chewing on my fingers and i think he is beginning to teeth. The pet store gave me a bunch of stuff when I bought him. And i was wondering the same thing! Apparently he loves it cause he hasnt moved away from it since.

Well I bought 2 nyla bones for Kizzy, she will only chew on them for a few minutes once in a while. she hides them all the time. then sometimes i'll find one and lay it out in the open. she sees it she picks it up and watches until she thinks i'm not looking then she hides it. I bought them so she would chew on something a long time because the rawhide little flat long things, she eats up pretty quick sometimes, other times she hide them to......... she is a hider.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
