I agree with yiou on the all caps and the colored ones, too hard to read. Most of the baby talk ones are targeted to one particular members dog, so I skip most of those.

I scan through long ones, You type like I do, breaking them into smaller paragraphs, They're easier to read.

On long threads, I look for additions by the original poster, and I check to see if anyone has commented on a post I made.

And for the rest of you -- you will never get me to like "baby talk." I think it is beneath the dignity of any Yorkie .... let alone any person or child. My Yorkie is only 9 months old, but he is far too well educated and intelligent to talk like that! And, to be honest, my children never talked that way either.

But - if you like it - you like it!

This is what I keep telling all of us -- if you don't like something - just skip it and go on to something else. This is a very active forum, and there is enough to keep us all involved and interested.

I was at the heart of one very controversial thread, that went on for a long time, it was only closed when some members got vicious, and started making it personal.

Administration seems to let them go if everyone remains civil. You can have differences of opinions without getting nasty. And I've noticed that usually when a thread gets closed, someone also gets banned.

I like people who are passionate about their beliefs, but who also respect someone's right to disagree.

I was not surprised to see that you were a teacher, I had wondered if you were, because yiou like to make orderly lists.

I will check the repetitive ones if they are from a new member to see if their question has been answered.

Some of the potty training ones amuse me, because it is obvious it is the human who is not getting it, not the dog.

It depends on the subject whether or not I'll read every post....some I do...some I don't.

Btw, can anyone tell me HOW big my puppy's gonna be? Or what color?

It is messages such as this that crack me up and have me continue to read the entire thread. I do however, stick to topics that most interest me. During the day when the hubby isn't around, I can browse to my heart's content. In the evening when he is home, it is driving him crazy that I am on line when I'm not teaching. Very interesting since I feel the same way about him spending hours playing hearts on the computer.....

With my previous occupation having been an executive assistant, I also dislike misspellings throughout threads. Note that if I have a mistake, it is a typo as my fingers tend to fly!!!
