ringing bells to go out

haha...Chance rings the bell for attention too. I never fails when I sit down to eat...ring ring. It can get anoying but I can ususally tell when he is doing it for attention or has to go. So now when I go to eat I usually put Chance in his kennel.

We just got some regular bells from pet smart and tied them to a peice of yarn. Works really well.

We didn't try the bell but we tried the doggie doorbell thing that they step on to make it "woof" or ring like a doorbell. Maybe we didn't try diligently enough but Tatum never picked up on it. Tatum would also just sit at the door not making a sound and if you missed it, your fault! Fortunately she has finally started talking to us about going out. At my MIL's house where we were living while building our new house, you couldn't see the door she would sit at from anywhere else in the house so I think that was the main problem. Finally a few months ago she started sitting at the door (in our new house) and doing the "talking growl". Now she even will come sit at your feet and give you a "yip" if you don't hear her growl at the door. I'm so excited but this has been a very long process!

Sydney is only 5 1/2 months old and has already caught on to ringing a bell to let you know that she needs to go outside. If you don't come quick she beats at the bells!!!!!

This is what Kizzy does. lately she has been barking to go out. butttt, most of the time its just she wants to go outside and play or to come back in for a treat. So the last few times shes gone out and not pee, I dont give her a treat. I have the bells ordered and i'm so praying for that to work. she isnt a barker anyway.
