| we built oscar a ramp we built oscar a ramp today. After about 3 arguments about the best way to do it and how it had to be put together it's finally done. How long did it take anyone elses yorkie to actually use them. We started showing him how and bribed him with a piece of cheese and as long as he isnt' thinking about the ramp he'll use it. He used them to climb on the bed while we were talking to him then when we moved he just stood at the foot of the bed and whined for us to get him down. we didnt' and eventually he did go down but it took him about 5 minutes. I know they are all different but I was just curious how long it took everyone else to use steps or a ramp on thier own. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I started when she was 10 weeks old and I spent 1/2 hour showing her how to go up and down the stairs next to my bed. She never has tried to jump down. Even when she is excited she runs to the stairs and goes up or down. I would just keep working with him.

| My 5 months 2.5lb male Yorkie learned how to climb up and down the ladder in just about 45 minutes. We put tiny pieces of treat on each steps and when he got to the top we praised him insanely. Be patient and your furbaby will come through.

| well Oscar did better than I thought. after a nice long nap he decided he was going to use the ramp. he's been on that thing a hundred times now. LOL guess he just needed to sleep on it. now he thinks it's fun to bite our mastiffs feet and run up the ramp to stand onthe bed so he can bark at him at eye level, then run back down and bite his feet again, over and over again. |
