I wouldnt do it, It deffinatly sounds like a scam to me! Just to see what he says ask him if you could come and look at them first and pick them up personaly. If he has some sort of excuse you'll know. Plus the first sign that its a scam is his grammer. Just be carefull, It smells very fishy to me. :( |
This definetly smells like a scam to me. Are they shipping the pups from out of the country? I wouldn't trust anything that sounds too good to be true. Here's a thread where we were in contact with a scammer to scam them! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39127 There are plenty of good breeders here and I'm sure if this is a scam someone here will be able to direct you to the right place to get your furbaby. Good Luck! :) |
Scam! |
I dont think you should think of it - and be certain not to let them know your personal details!! :thumbdown |

This is a scam dont do it |
This guy is supposedly in California. When he answered the phone he said "Hello? Are you interested in the puppies?" before I even had a chance to say anything. Here is his info: NAME....................Adrian Ramirez Address:................114 N Curtis Ave City;.......................Alhambra, State...................... california Zip code.................. 91801 |
We need the "SCAM BUSTERS". |
Where did you find his ad? What is the area code of his tel. number? |
Hmmmm... Sounds way off to me. I wouldn't send any money without an escrow service. There are escrow services for pets that hold your money until your pet has arrived and everyone is happy. It's insurance for the seller and the buyer. If you're looking into shipping, I would check into this. |
Call information "0" or 411 and verify the address and phone # and the name he wants you to send the $ too. That can usually tell you because most scammers wont use their listed address and phone#. That what I did and found out some of the phone#'s wern't even in the same state!!! good luck |
He gave me his address and his phone number is: 619-374-7807 |
I just sent an e-mail to see if he would accept escrow. |
I wouldn't do it...I was almost sucked in by the same thing. How much is he asking for the pups? I would definitely ask him if you can come by and look at them in person and make payment then. Even if you are far away, just tell him, you'll make the trip. See what he says. I was uncomfortable with one lady because of the grammer (same as your post) and also she said to immediately go to a western union, send payment and she would ship her out immediately. So I emailed her that I would prefer to make payment in person and see the parents....Never heard anything back..... Please, please, please, be very careful. There was even one that was located just south of me and when I asked if I could come down and look at them, she responded that the puppies weren't with her. she was south of me but the puppies were in a different country!! I hate to say it but it smells like scam. |
I just called information and they said that the only one they had listed was an A. Ramirez and the phone number was 626-282-5191. WEIRD. I wish there was someway out there to stop these people!~ |
I googled that number and this is what came up: MALE AND FEMALE AKC ADORABLE POMERANIANS - $200.00 Breed: Pormeranian Gender: Female Weight: 1.5 Hight (toe to neck): Lengh (head to tail): Born/Age: 10 WEEKS OLDS Aprox weight full grown: They will be 4 pounds full grown. Maybe one of our YT'ers who lives in that area could check it out for you. |
Don't Do It! There are plenty of reputable breeders on this site. :smileyfla |
this is a scam!!!!!!!!!! For one thing, I know for sure that you can ship a pup anywhere in the Unites States for 170 for up to fifty pounds. unless it has gone up in the past three weeks. That is always what U.S. Air always charged us until they stopped shipping live animals. Now we use delta and the rate is the same. We ship eight week old beagle puppies on the avrage of about three or four times a month. Sometimes we ship two in the same crate. you can do this at no extra charhe as long as they fall within the weight limit. Their weight plus the crate up to fifty pounds. If it is over that, you have to pay extra but puppies are never over that . Stay away from this person. I saw on the news a few days ago, that the Western Union thing is definately a scam. we have even had these people contact us about buying our dogs saying they will send X amount of money Western Union and we are to cash it, take our part and send them the rest. HELLO!!!!!!!! We are from Kentucky but not stupid. |
I def. would not do it. It is not worth it. Not to mention as I have learned the hard way that even if you meet the breeder and puppy face to face before you buy it does not ALWAYS garuntee a healthy and happy dog. PLEASE, don't do what I did! Do RESEARCH and ask around for references from people who have bought puppies from whatever breeder you are looking to buy from and even ask for vet references. It is not worth the heart ache of a sick dog or the whole in your pocket for no dog! |
Since he lives in the states he would be able to go through puppy escrow. Ask him if he will go through it? If he says no, then don't do it, there is absoultely no reason why he can't use puppy escrow and can only use western union, especially since he lives in California. |
No sweetie! Don't do it! It's a scam. If it walks like a duck, smells like a duck..... It's a DUCK! Don't do it. |

Off the subject, but United ships for $111.00 and they do not go to the oversized baggage area, they take them right to the front desk. |
SCAM!! Like others have basically said " If it sounds to good to be true, it is". And besides if you are wanting a puppy I would make sure that it has been tested for LP and liver shunt and that the breeder can show proof or offers a health guarantee. As you will read on this site many have on this site have suffered much heartache over puppies they purchased only to find out they were ill. Why not wait and save the money for a puppy you can purchase from a reputable breeder. In the long run you will spend less on a healthy puppy. Good Luck |
All of these scams have the same 'tone' to them. Poor English, spelling, saying such wonderful things about the puppies...things people want to hear. Please don't go this route...you'll only end up disappointed and a few hundred dollars poorer. Chances are pretty good that the pics are stolen and that there are no puppies at all. There are some wonderful, trustworthy breeders out there who put their puppies first and worry about the money last. I'm sure there are many on here who could recommend someone to you. Best of luck. |
Definitely a scam. NEVER send money via Western Union up front for anything. You will never be able to get ahold of him once the money is wired. |
sounds very fishy, please be careful , there are so many scammers out there. Hugs |
DON'T DO IT! I GOT THE EXACT SAME EMAIL this one is definalty a scam. I checked on one myself. if you look closely the phone numbers don't match where they are telling you they are from. I got this message in my junk mail after I replied to a different ad. if you look closely the phone numbers dont' match where they are telling you they are. mine said they were in florida and it was a montana area code. google just the area code and see where it is from. I'd bet it's not going to be the same area. I got the email when I replied to one on puppyfind. I emailed puppyfind and they said they have been removing all thier ads as soon as they know they are there. |

lol I tried to edit but it took me too long anyway I wanted ot add that the name and numbers were changed but the message itself was EXACTLY the same. when I had my neo shipped last year I paid Delta myself and it was $225 costs a little extra if there isnt' a direct flight and they said they didn't care how many of anyhting was in the crate just the weight. |
