| Just a good morning hello everyone Hello every one. Just wanted to say hello. I am glad to see another new member. We have been pretty busy around here so I have got behind on the posts. I hope to catch up soon. Casey has been busy keeping a eye on everything. I moved the furniture and he is just going all over and over the place checking everything out. Being a first time yorkie mom I am still amazed at how brave these little lions are. He is fearless. It is something else. But at the same time he will be very happy to come and cuddle up and snuggle for as long as I will cuddle back. He loves to get his little blanket...(a baby recieving blanket) and root around with his nose. I cant say enough about this litle guy. After loosing sadie I really didnt exect to be able to bond with another dog. BUT....I am completly smitten and bonkers in love with this sweetie. It is a blessing and I am very grateful. Hope everyone has a great week-end |

| Hi!! Don't think we've "met?!" How old is your baby? I am owned by Gypsy Rose aged just over a year old and I DO know what you mean about losing a yorkie (or any dog) and thinking you would't bond - we lost the love of our lives - GIZMO aged over 14 and we thought our life was over. It took a bit of time BUT our girl is a delight!! I swear she holds "conversations" with him and she gets more and more like him by the day!! Do tell us more about your little furbaby!! Ana xx |

| Hello so awfully sorry for the delay. I have been swamped the past few days. Casey is our first yorkie. He is such a sweetie, he is 2 yrs old. His little personality is something else! I think I am in the dog house though after having the grand kids on saturday. He was without my complete attention for the first time since we brought him home. He hasnt been eating very well and really just isn't himself. I have made a appointment to take him to the vet tommorow I don't want to take any chances. Any input about emotional issues out there? | Casey sounds a dream!! I do hope he'll be better soon - do let us know? I think it's unlikely that it's emotional, he may have been upset at the time but only at the time I would have thought but sure it's nothing serious. We worry so much about these babies don't we? Ana xx |

| Yorkies DO GET FUSSY! and jealous! Not much you can do but wait it out a few days. Yoda was absolutely furious with us because we gave so much attention to a newborn baby and he sulked for two days. :P We tried to make it up to him by giving him special foods, playing with him, but nothing seemed to cheer him up. We thought he was sick as well, but he wasn't. But after a few days of constant praise and attention, he got back to being his old 'normal' self! |

| What do you guys think? I hope he is just being dramatic , but no matter what we are going to go to the vet tommorow. Fortunately we are close enough to the vet that has seen him while he was with his former (mom) that I can go there. I wanted to get a better idea of casey's background from him. I was concerned when the former mom kept telling me about how whe wanted a 3 lb yorkie female to breed. She told me that was the only reason that she was selling casey. She has him since he was 6 weeks old, and then just sold him trying to get a "tiny" yorkie. She insisted that was where you really made your profit. Casey is only a little over 4 lbs. and I think he is tiny! I just cant imagine trying to breed a 3 lb. dog being such a great idea from what I have seen around here and other places. I was really upset when she was telling me about having a 9 month old that was just over 1 lb. I dont know much at all yet about the breed, but it just didnt sound good to me. She wanted me to get her info from the net about liver shunt and blood sugar issues. I am glad to get information for her but all this just sent tons of red flags up for me. I plan on taking casey in tommorow to the vet I mentioned before, and then have a appointment set up with my own vet. What do you guys think? Thanks Quote:

| Casey is lucky to have you as his new mom. Seems his previous owner just wanted him for a stud. He will have a great live with you just being a great companion. Not that he wouldn't have liked to be a stud. lol It is best to take him to the vet to give him the once over. I am sure he was just upset with the change and is just showing you. My two can be little drama queens when something doesn't go there way. They know how to play there mommies. How long have you had him?..........Cindy |

| We have had casey for almost 3 weeks. Like I said this weekend was the first time he had not had my complete attention. Even when we ride the harley I am quick to get in the house to check on the little guy after we get home. I even think my husband hurries in to. But don't tell him I told you so. LOL I really think his former owner was in the whole animal thing period for only a profit. She also bred purebred cats. I cant imagine having any time for a "pet" with both yorkies and cats. Quote:
