| What a way to start the morning I just came back inside from taking Ethan to the bus and I noticed Wyatt when I came in. He looked like he had been scolded then I noticed he was all hunched up like he wanted to take a poop and then I noticed a big present for me. I was impressed that he waited for me to help rather than try to get it off by rubbing on the floor. So I picked him up took him upstairs to the bathtub and cut it off of him. It was a lot for such a small dog. Sorry, hope it's not to graphic. I finished cutting it off and then washed his butt real well, he thought he was going to get a full fledge bath, which he will sometime over the next couple of days. He has to be brushed out good first. Just wanted to share my little adventure this morning. Hope I didn't gross anyone out.

It wasn't diahrreah thank goodness. I just didn't realize how long it had been since I had cut his hair around his butt. I did have to laugh about it once I got him cleaned up.

| So we keep the bum hair cut close so it doesn't "grab" the poo? Bella is my first dog and it seems like I keep finding out new things all the time that the books did not cover. Before this I had cats... wonderful, easy to take care of cats. |

| Yup - I call those Butt Plugs and it drives them crazy. They will stop eating, walking or just about anything. Glad you found it early

| LOL. Yogi had that happen to him right after I first got him. It just so happened that I noticed it right when we were running out the door to take him to his first vet appointment, which we were already late for!!! I tried to cut and clean him up the best I could. I was so embarassed to take him in to the vet, not totally clean. But they were understanding and actually cleaned him up the rest of the way for me before I left!! He went in the next day to the groomers for what they called a "sanitary cut".

| I normally keep the hair cut very close. But, I've been so busy the last few weeks getting ready for finals and various other things that, I just had forgotten about it. What was so funny about the whole thing was, that he was just standing there waiting on me to come back in, he hadn't tried to wipe his butt by scooting outside or in. He was patiently waiting for me. And some people say dogs are not intelligent.
