| I only have one right now. But I couldn't help but post. My hubby was the same way!! We got Yogi only a few months ago. Well, I knew we should have got two at the same time. So I started looking. I found one ( a girl) and approached my husband about it. He said "No way! I'm putting my foot down. NO MORE DOGS!!". I was so upset. But then, I asked him if we could just go over and take a look at her, the pup, and meet the breeders just in case for the future. We went. He held the puppy. Looked at me. Said "Her name is Dixie." He fell in love!! (Way to put your foot down, honey) Now, he's starting to see things my way. If all else fails with your hubby, just take him with you to look at a pup and to "network" with other yorkie owners. He won't be able to resist!!

| Well, Bunjee might be willing to let your hubby cuddle with you more if he had another yorkie to cuddle, lol. Also if ya'll aren't home sometimes they can keep each other company, and it'll make for a happier Bunjee! Also the entertainment factor is great -- it's fun to watch two play together!!! Good luck!

| haha... gina, hubby would be soo disappointed that he's getting a doggie instead of a new mac laptop. haha. but that does give me other devious ideas! ![]() jess... that's a great idea!!! another yorkie means more cuddle time between me and hubby 'cause bunjee and the new one will be pre-occupied with each other!! i like how that sounds!!! suz... you're absolutely right! i can say tho, he'll have 2 yorkies who will LOVE to play with him, but also leave him alone and just play with each other when he's not up to it. yeah... hubby was a total... no dogs allowed guy... until bunjee that is... ![]() i think ideally, i'd love to get an already fixed older male puppy (that's not begun to lift or mark) or adult female dog that's simliar to bunjee in temperament and size. that way i can cut down on the expenses that comes with having a brand new puppy as well as the pain of housebreaking. i'm currently looking into rescues as well as the for sale section here. |

| In all honesty -- several people who post here have "two Yorkies" and sometimes both are pups -- and more often than not - they are having "triple trouble." They love their pups, etc. etc. etc. But they two of them are really almost more than twice the work. So - your husband is no dummy! He made a good point. But - as the pup gets older - things will get better again! I always like having two dogs myself. But, I've always had an adult dog whenever I brought a new puppy home. This has helped a lot. Nevertheless, puppies are work. We all know that. But - they're worth it! Good luck! |

| We just got our second one yesterday and Ollie is delighted with her new brother. It is very stressful for a yorkie to be left alone. They need compaionship. |

| Men can be really "funny" from day 1 Chelsey has been a real Mommy's baby, she loves my husband and will play with him, sit with him and all that. From the time we got her, he told me "we are going to keep it by 1 only" i "agreed" with him OFCOURSE hehehe When Chelsey was 5 months old he said to me "maybe we should look for a sister" well there was NO WAY i was going to waste time and started searching all over the Netherlands! Within a few days i had set up an appointment to meet the breeder, she had pups that were ready for their new home's and there was 1 girl in the litter. When we got to her house, she brought the puppy "Chanel" and placed it in my husbands arms, he was over the moon! Turns out that Chanel is a right Daddy's baby too! There's no denying that 2 is better than 1. Ok, maybe it's double the work, but in return, you get double the pleasure, it's really all worth it. There's nothing better than waking up in the morning to find the two of them kissing each other "good morning" .... to watch them play together, and honestly, a yorkie likes company, they do get lonely... when you have to go out, you feel guilty. Having 2 or more, it's easier on yourself to leave them, because they have each other. The last pic is when we had just brought Chanel home, sleeping on Daddy's tummy
