| Color on AKC reg? Hi everyone! I needed some help with the AKC papers. I've had them for a while but have not sent them out to register my pup yet. Hes 5months old now and I was wondering what do I put under the color section. He is mostly black with a portion of legs and muzzle tan and a bit of silver on top of his head. I've heard the black turns blue when they are older...is this so for all of them? Do I put black and tan? or black and gold? or blue and tan or blue and gold assuming the black will turn blue as adult. Or do I sit around until hes a bit older to get a better idea of his coat color and send the papers out then? Will it really matter if I register him now as black and tan and later on he changes to blue and gold? Is tan and gold the same thing? I'm confused and confusing myself |

| I would mark blue and tan. Gold and Tan are confusing. Especially since its supposed to be a golden tan. Either one would work. |
