Donating YT 14K Club Member | Will someone please explain the FREAKING FASCINATION OF YORKIES WITH TOILET PAPER?????????? I'm about to pull out all of my hair. I shut the bathroom door this morning before we left and low and behold...come home for lunch and someone...probably Rebel...nudged his way into the bathroom and helped himself to the trash can. So what...I guess he like snotty tissue but it's disgusting and it grosses me out!!!!!!!! Does anyone have a yorkie that has done this and you've managed to break them of the habit??? IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

| I'm going nuts with Coco having fun with the padding under the carpet. Every once in a while she wants to rip the padding from the corner of the carpet and chew up the carpet. This morning I put deodorant allllll over the corners and sides of my carpet at my apartment. That's why she doesn't get run of the house. I gave it to her for a week and I kept coming home to carpet padding all over the house.

| Studies have shown that there is a propensity for dogs of the small breed (especially Yorkies) to have an appetite for toilet paper due to the highly fragrant nature of said paper, even when the paper is brand new and unused. While some Yorkies may have gynotikolobomassophilia, almost all Yorkies will have this tendency to find toilet paper and completely destroy it. Such Yorkies may be found guilty of such behavior by their parents due to the fact that they leave bits of toilet paper evidence in their mouths at the time of being caught. It is a natural behavior and one that is not learned, but innate. The term for this phenomenon is: teepeeradicophilia Last edited by fasteddie; 04-20-2006 at 12:08 PM. |
