| Eye infection Well I have a 7 mth old yorkie named Hannah and a great dane who is 5 1/2 yrs old, they love to play togther outside but I think my yorkie has been playing to much outside because I think her eyes have an infection I made her a vet visit for tomorrow, her eyes have this thick yellow mucus like discharge it builds up many times a day I have been using a warm wash cloth to wash her eyes all day, and that seems to sooth them, and I have bathed her twice this week just to let the water run over her poor eyes. Anyone else ever have this problem? |

| Is it just a recent thing? My MeeMee has had eye problems since I got her as a baby.... she tears soooo much that it will clump. I clean her everyday and still to no avail..... I have others and nobody has this problem so I just brought her to an eye specialist here and he said she had hair growing on her inner fold which is why the tears are not falling into her tear ducts. He gave me meds that might help but he said she would have to take them for life.... of she can have surgery to remove that fold of skin....... It was a week ago and I've been giving the meds everyday.... her eyes look FABULOUS! She's like a new dog! I'm soooooo happy it worked and now she has great eyes! I still have to clean them once a day but it is soooo much better! People use to see her and think I neglect her.... and I don't... I baby alll my furbabies but I asked my vet and he said it's just cosmetic and brushed it off a few times but the last time I said I want something done so he referred me to the specialist. Hope everything works out! |
