I personally wouldn't buy from him and would love to see him shut down.

However, I just want to say that just because a puppy is tiny doesn't mean it has a short life span or garunteed to be unhealthy.
I know alot of people may not agree, but as for the price of a puppy (any puppy) I think the puppy is worth as much as you are willing to pay. I was going to purchase a puppy for $8500 but then the breeder decided to keep him. Also if one of my babies were lost I would pay any amount to get them back.

Please don't flame me for my opion, I'm not saying it's right to charge those prices, but I'm not saying it wrong either.

I understand what you are saying but this guy sells them at this price based solely on weight and sex, look at how much he charges for the male pups? These kinds of practices are wrong. He is simply out to make a profit. These kinds of fronts are no better than Pet stores if you ask me.

this 'breeder' is not a broker..... he actually breeds all these yorkies. When I saw his site.... I called to see what he was going to say. He owns like 500 acres and has over 100 yorkies that just run around the land. He calls it 'heaven' for these guys. They are just breeders and not trained at all. He was bragging to me how great his business was and how many millions he has made. He use to be a race car driver who didn't amount to much and decided to breed yorkies and realized it would make him a fortune. I bet you he doesn't even know who the parents are for any of the puppies.

That is why I said I would love to see him out of business. I don't support anything about him or his way of doing business.

I understand what you are saying..... for if I ever lost my baby, I would spend whatever it took to get him/her back. The value of anything is what we are willing to pay for it. And there are people willing to spend thousands because they can and also because you think you are getting the best. I know when I brought my first yorkie... this was many years ago.... i actually looked for the most expensive one.... thinking it would be the best. And I should have researched more but I ended up paying $3500.00 for a little girl. She was a liver shunt baby from the time she was 4 months and I spent thousands on medical bills alone before she died at 2 years old. When I decided to start my breeding program.... I really took my time and spoke to many breeders and I am so happy I did that. I still spent a lot for my babies but they are all worht it! Healthy and beautiful..... that is my most important criteria.
I think what we all are trying to say here is ..... you can't put a price on love but this 'breeder' is NOT ethical and way overpriced.

Totally agree, I knew the puppy I was going to pay the outrageous price for was not even close to standard, but he was so precious and would have been well worth it. (for me)

I know someone who bought a pom from him, and it had nothing but health problems. I live in the same general area of the country as him, and in talking to various people since I've been on my yorkie search....I've heard nothing good about him and his operation.

It's BYB and Hobby breeders like him that destroy the breed. The worst part of all of this (despite that these lovely babies are even in existence) is that people really do think that they get what they pay for. And even if this breeder procalimed to have "champion bloodlines", that's means NOTHING if these "champion bloodlines" aren't bred correctly to one another. Wow, this really has me upset and I know that there's nothing I can do to take action against this breeder other than to submit him to the USDA for inspection and AKC and ACA. I've got my Microsoft Word open and will be typing letters shortly.
I just hope he actually cares for these dogs properly (including the breeding dogs) when the cameras aren't taking the photos!

I can't stand that man & his operation either. Anyone who has purchased a healthy puppy from him is lucky and I'm happy for them.... but in general - he is nothing short of a puppy mill in my opinion that sells unusually tiny tiny puppies at that. I can't even imagine how many die in his care. To be honest - every yorkie looks scared to death in the pictures...I've yet to see a really happy puppy in 3 years of looking at that site.

Someone here bought a dog from him. I don't remember who it was, but this person said that these dogs were in kennels...clean, but kennels just the same. He had some dogs running around and had kicked one in the stomach to get it out of his way.

He told you that he lets his yorkies run around...okay...how does he know which stud is bred to which bitch? If this is the case, you could have multiple sires to one female's litter.

If I lived back in Wichita Falls, I would make a trip down to this "wonder" yorkie heaven. But with gas prices being what they are, I don't think I"ll be making that trip anytime soon.

We do have some YT members (new and old) that live in the Dallas area. I wonder if they could do it. Someone offered gas money once to me to make that trip. Gas, time off from work, plus the 6 hour drive it would have been did not seem feasible to me.
