i believe bile acid tests only show liver function - don't definitively diagnose a liver shunt. did they perform a test to determine her ammonia level? did they talk about putting her on lactulose or metrido......something or other? i don't see how you could put her on a liver shunt diet (low protein) while being pregnant and avoiding meat protein all together. it sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place. keep us informed. we'll all be praying for you and your little ones.
