| Vet specializing in yorkies? Is there such a thing as a vet that specializes in Yorkies? I'm wondering if I am better off taking my baby to a vet that is very familiar with Yorkies, I live in Long Island, NY if anyone out there has a yorkie vet...if there is such a thing!

| I don't think so. But in the state I live in there is a vet who breeds and shows yorkies. She the the closest to a vet that specialize in yorkie. But what you really need to look for is a vet that specialize in small breeds. |

I don't think a vet would be able to meet thier overhead if they got THAT specific. Some vets are more comfortable with the little ones than others but I don't think any put up a sign saying they specialize in small dogs or dogs of a particular breed. | |

| I find that small dog breeders are always a good source for a good vet who understands the needs of small dogs. Also the local dog clubs may be able to help. |
