| Yogi's 3 month shots!! Well, we are going in this afternoon for Yogi's 3 month check-up and his shots. I'm so nervous for him. This is a new vet that we are trying out. Can anyone give me an idea of what the vet should check for and/or ask me about for this appointment? I want to make sure that he's a good vet, you know? Any questions that I should ask the vet? Thanks Melanie |

| Well.. We did go to the vet and I was very impressed with the vet. He answered most of my questions before I even asked them. Yogi weighed in at a whopping 2.15 ounces!! Such a big boy. He took his time with us (which is unusual as I always feel rushed) and explained a lot of things that Yogi is doing now. As far as trying to figure out where he's at in the "pecking order" and trying to figure out if he's the "alpha dog" of the pack. He explained things that we can do and even our 2 year old can do (supervised) to let Yogi know where his place is. He said that once Yogi is sure of his place in the pack, he will be a much more calm and satisfied dog. He also gave me some helpful tips for housetraining! He seems to be very knowledgable of Yorkies, which is a plus! Yogi did good. Didn't even whimper from his shots! But unfortunately, they did a fecal test and they discovered hook worms!! They said it was fairly common. But Yogi has been given deworming medicine three times before I got him?! Anyway, they said it's fairly easy to treat. They gave him more medicine and we went out today and made sure all of his poo was cleaned up in the yard. We are all very glad to get that appointment over with!! Yogi was exhausted!! |

| Everything worked out just great! That's wonderful. I was going to tell you before you went to the vet - that you shouldn't be worried. Puppy shots are the most common thing in the world. I know some pups have occasional problems - but usually this is not the case. I'm glad everything went so well. Carol Jean |

| I am glad that everything went ok! He sounds like a brave little boy! Your new vet sounds like he really cares about his patients!
