| Floppy Ears My darling furbaby 'Duchess' is nearly 1 yr old (birthday 21st of this month) and she has floppy ears.I shaved the tips of them when she was younger,in an attempt to coax them to stand, but had no luck. I have heard about taping the ears? i roughly know how to do this, but would appreciate advice. As she is 1yr is there much point? and also can the vets do the taping as i dont want to hurt her!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!!!! yay!!! As for the ears, I'm thinking it's too late too, but you can try. And it's pretty simple once you have read up on it, so I wouldn't be too worried about hurting her. Good luck!! She's precious floppy-eared or not!

| Yes, you can still try taping. Use a bit of thin cardboard paper, then use some duct tape to wrap it around their ears. It won't hurt them and it's worked for many! Good luck! |

| I had a yorkie who had floppy ears. I shaved them and taped them when she was a puppy, but it just wasn't meant to be. They say if you tape their ears, by six months you still have a chance. Her being a year old, her ears probably will stay floppy. Some yorkies ears are just to long or heavy. Although I was dissapointed at first that my yorkie's ears never went up, I still love her the same, and learned to love her floppy ears. There are alot of yorkies with floppy ears and they look just as cute if not more, than a yorkie whose ears are up. |

| Ear Taping Ok so Duchess has had the tape on for nearly 2 days now,i managed to tape them myself, and i was really pleased at what a good job i did! Anyway she has pulled them off twice,so i have had to keep re-taping them! My boyfriend thinks im crazy, and 1 old lady down town and came over and said 'why is your dogs ears bandaged up,what did she do?has she hurt them?' She looks really funny!!! will have to post a pic soon! Duke is scared to death of her and wont go near her! and Gypsy-Rose is her partner in crime and keeps trying to pull the tape off! Her ears havent moved at all yet,she has long big ears and i dont really think its going to work! Neva mind, floppy or standing she is my adorable baby! |

| Awwww, the floppy ears are so cute. My Gizmo had them. I just thought his ears were too big to stand up.
