That's great advice, except I live in urban NY and can only imagine myself doing that out in public... hubby will think I completely lost it. anyway, it doesn't get bad until you actually happen to step in the poop with your bare foot, as I just did..... eeeeeewwwww. Love the puppy stage

Yup same thing here...I would come home to confetti of wee wee pads! Pee would now be in puddles on the foor b/c the pad were shredded!

I decided to get the Doggie Litter Box and the Washable Pads from the website: www.piddlepads.com - I would place the washable pad inside the litter box. No more mess!!!

THIS FINALLY STOPPED the shredding. I use the washable ones when they are left home alone and when I am home to occupy the little monsters, I use the throw away kind. I also HEAVILY used the POSTIVE and TREAT reward system!!!

I do something similar when I am brushing Dennis’ hair and come across a knot and accidentally pull his hair, I look at the brush and give it a good spank and say “Don’t you hurt my Dennis, or you’ll get another spanken! Bad brush! You be careful…” He always seems to feel better about the whole process.
