| Are 2 Yorkies Better Than 1 ??? We currently have a 3 year-old female Yorkie and are thinking of getting another. Lately my wife and I have been working quite a bit and have been feeling really guilty leaving our baby home alone while we're away. We were hoping another Yorkie would cure her lonliness and prove to be a loving companion for her. What do you guys think? What are your experienced pros and cons of having one Yorkie versus two? Please help convince me one way or the other. Thanks in advance! |

| Diffrence with me You see I have had a mini pin for 5 years and I brought home my Yorkie Daisy 6 months ago. He hated her. due to the fact that he was use to all of the attention. He was mommy's little boy. Now just about A month is when he finally gave in to her. They play all day long. He won't leave her alone. They are the best of friends and love each other. It took some time but it happend. They are now great together and I am so happy. I know you want another Yorkie and you have had yours a while so I don't know what could happened. Maybe what happened to me will happen to you, but then again maybe not. Either way it's worth it. They always have someone to play with and are never lonley and sooner or later they will be great together. So I say go for it.

| 2 is definatly better than 1... the first few days might be the most difficult, but you will see that after a while they can't miss each other!

| From what I have heard here...2 is better than 1, 3 is better than 2, and so forth.

| When I got my second yorkie, my first was very angry at me. It only lasted a few hours for us though. We just got our 3rd yorkie and we are loving it.

| My first yorkie was 15 when I brought home the new male puppy, after she died, and by the way the old dog did accept the puppy, anyway I then got a female yorkie so I had 2,and never had a problem, but the male was easier to potty train outside because he wanted to lift his leg on the tree, but both are fine now yes,2 are better than 1 |

| I like having two. I have a male and a female and they keep each other company. I have never had any jealousy issues with either of them. My breeder says she is always happy when people get two because she thinks they do better in pairs.

| Welcome, and I definately think 2 is better than one. They entertain each other when everyone is busy with their own thing, and at night while relaxing and watching TV it's easier to share two puppies than one, lol!
