| ![]() I really don't know a whole lot about how to get the older dogs to accept puppies, but as a mom of three skin boys and two furbabies, I have learned to always trust your instincts. They usually are right, and you will feel better knowing Dezi is safe. Maybe short playtimes around them might help to get them used to her? Sorry couldn't be much help there, I know you will do what is best for your furbaby in the end.

| ![]() I can only give you information ,based on my experience with my dogs. When I first got Alfie (who is almost 2 now) ,my mums yorkie was 11 and very placid with other dogs, so we thought she would accept him no problem. Boy were we wrong, she at first would not look at him, then she progressed to growling and snapping at him I thought that she would never get to like him, It took a while but we always supervised their little visits and eventually she began to come round to him. She now loves him to bits!!! So what do I do , I get a another puppy Lottie. She has been accepted more readily by my mums yorkie. Maybe it would be an idea to try and get your sisters yorkie's to meet your yorkie one at a time , very supervised at first until they get to know each other better. I hope you get this sorted because they will all benefit from each others company.

| ![]() Thanks. I will try to have them visit on separate occassions. I also forgot to post that my sister's dog Precious has a collapse trachea and when she is around Dezi, she seeks to have a coughing attack. Once Dezi is gone, she stops. We are also concerned that her baby will end up getting worst because she is so jealous of Dezi. |

| ![]() We also spoiled pebbles everytime she gave Alfie good attention and that seemed to work with her. ![]()

| ![]() I think the advice Juliealfie's mum gave you sounds good- maybe have them visit your Dezi separately and at your home (on Dezi's turf). I know my dogs are more likely to act up when they are all together in a group rather than on their own. Kind of like kids, they seem to think they are bigger and badder than they really are when they are in a group... ![]() |
